Liberalism, from its inception as a political and moral philosophy has been decidedly anti religious. The liberal founders purposely sought to ensure that religion was excluded from the constitution. It is why the no religious test clause is in the Constitution, and why the non establishment clause is in the first amendment.

 

Republicans, conservatives, Trump fawners, are in the minority, as are the Evangelicals, of which constitute the core of Republicans, conservatives and Trump fawners. It seems to me that they mostly win elections through nefarious means.

The most advances in the understanding of the brain seems to be coming from neurological and cognitive sciences. Where brain functioning is tied to behaviors. If we were talking science -climate change - the Bible / religious dogma - I would agree with you - the bias effect would be valid - particularly with the Evangelical/Fundamentalist crowd. We know the NYT is pumping out false narrative -as this narrative contradicts their own previous reporting claiming in early 2013 that there was no significant moderate presence.

Nowhere in this fairly lengthy article - is it mentioned that the moderate rebels do not exist - even though this fact had been well reported for many years prior to this article This is known as " the Sin of Omission" - Your claim that AP is not biased - is false.

Why do you care if someone else has sexual identity issues? I think that people who think they have to have guns, or those who think Jesus is real, are a bit off. Does that make their brains defective? When one’s thoughts tells one that Trump is innocent, does it feel as if one’s thoughts are lying to oneself?
