And they did, just not your kind of people in California. Did you miss we are a republic of individual states? Didn't they teach you that in school?

Hillary's basket of deportables votes do not count. That means she lost the popular vote by millions.

You got it wrong again! The media said that "potentially" [my emphasis] 20 Trump electors would be faithless electors. In other words they qualified their statement with the word "potentially". You need to go and study the English language. Are you here in this country illegally??? And I know the House of Representatives would have been given the charge of the election if there was a tie as per the constitution. I read all 85 of the Federalist Papers. But that was not the point. The point was the symbolism of the act. Symbolism does carry a lot of weight in politics.

Potentially, Trump could have lost over 300 votes. As it was, Clinton lost more votes than Trump. I guess the forces against Clinton were more powerful than those against Trump voters. She felt the Bern, symbolically.

And how much weight does the symbolism of a "powerful show of force" that turned out to be nothing of the sort carry?

Nothing compared to the weight of the reality that Trump carried 83% of the counties in the United States.

THAT is a powerful show of force, not the futile gestures of anti-democratic "progressive" sore losers...

So what??? How many counties did Obama carry in 2008??? And in 2012??? Where is the hope and change that he promised??? His legacy is in tatters! You can say ditto for Donald Trump! He is not going to change anything except the size of his portfolio. By the way, you conservatives charged Obama with being a socialist or a communist in 2008. Where is the socialism that you were so afraid of??? I'm straining hard to find it. So far it eludes me. I was under no illusion with Obama. Ditto with Trump. Have a nice life.

Hillary lost more electoral votes than Trump. Symbolically, that means a lot. You are correct, symbolism does indeed carry a lot of weight in politics. Symbolically, this makes Hilla much more of a loser than Trump ever could be. I completely agree with your point. Please accept my liking your post.

I have to admit gloating and enjoying it greatly. Liberalism is nothing if not entertaining. Just think of the meltdowns leading up to Jan 20th.

Liberals just got so arrogant they thought that everything was going their way. Then the nation puts all Republicans in charge and they are trying to figure out what happened. Soon they'll realize, liberalism is a failure.

Entire hordes of leftists will have to increase their meds simply to get through the personal horror of having to say, "Donald Trump, president of the United States of America," and those are just the leftist Mainstream Media wonks. Sweet!

If any political party does away with the electoral college they will still not be the party in power. The senate, house, and governors will all go to the other party. By the way...Trump is the president. This sounds just like the birther movement. And that was also a total fail.

Uh, we know exactly what happened ... a disgraceful, rogue FBI director's unprecedented interference days before the election ... filthy russian hackers stealing private emails from the DNC and giving them to some punk and (alleged) rapist named Assange ... and an antiquated, "rigged", embarrassing system for electing presidents called the electoral college.

And despite all that unprecedented assistance, Weak and Illegit Donnie still got WHIPPED in the raw national vote.

Now we'll just sit back, relax, and watch incompetent republicans tank the economy (again) with their horrible, failed economic policies...

Find it odd you failed to mention that Hillary insulted millions of American voters weeks before the election. Also, how she and Obama, bragged about getting a leader of a sovereign nation killed (Libya).

That's okay. You think the way you want.

How did Barack Obama get elected to office twice in a row if the antiquated, rigged, embarrassing system for electing presidents, called the electoral college, has remain unchanged? If Donald Trump being elected was an example of the system being rigged, why is the same not true for Barack Obama? Why was the system not rigged when George Bush was elected to two terms? Why was it not rigged when Bill Clinton was elected twice in a row?
