Elizabeth Warren to GOP: Did You Hit Your Head & Think You Woke Up in 1950s or 1890s?

How does taking 400 or 500 million in federal funds, taxpayer dollars away from planned parenthood effect woman's healthcare? There are tons of other women health care clinics out there. I just do not see it. I do not think taxpayers or the federal government should be financing a private company anyway. Why not let the federal government finance GM or GE or Sony or Walmarts for that matter.

Besides, there is Obamacare now. Or were we lied to about Obamacare and what it does? What is the difference if a woman goes to planned parenthood or to Acme woman's health center? I see this for what it is, pure political agenda hyperbole. I am surprised Warren didn't say the Republicans were out to kill her grandmother.

 

I really really don't understand liberals.

On my Facebook feed there is a very liberal woman who was part of my birthing class. She hates the idea that pregnancy is treated like a disease; an illness in this country. She hates the high number of c-sections, factory assembly line style neonatal structure in hospitals, and can't stand mandated vaccinations. She gave birth to her last child in her own home. On purpose. She doesn't like people telling her what to do, or how to do it. And I agree with that.

And yet she strongly supports politicians like Elizabeth "you didn't build that" Warren and Bernie "too much deodorant" Sanders who promise to grow the government's power to tell her how she should be living her life. It makes absolutely no sense at all. It's like there's a disconnect between the way she thinks she should be treated by the government, and the way she thinks government should be able to control people. It's astonishing.

The problem with PP and all government funded programs is that the government is spending your money with very little incentive to consider your individual desires and needs. They are widely susceptible to special interest influence. My friend will bitterly complain about the influence that companies like Monsanto and Pfizer have over her, but then vote for politicians that promise to wield exactly the same influence.

Can anyone explain that?

 

PP has customers because it's needed, if it wasn't needed it wouldn't have customers. Other clinics get federal funds. Why take away PP funds when they are complying with the law and they have not even been charged with any lawbreaking??

And here is the usual mishmash of services or lack thereof, with significant difficulties for woman, many of them who are in trouble, difficulty, or simply don't have a poor ot non-existent support structure.

Much of the list is BS or vaporware! In a very short look of a few of these lists of support for women and men, three of the were gone! How many of the real ones were overwhelmed with multi day waits for services, I wonder?

There is no evidence that Planned Parenthood has ever sold fetal tissue. If there were such evidence, it should be prosecuted.

The future of the Democratic party, at least in the short term, depends almost exclusively on how successfully they can conflate every possible policy issue with identity (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.). They are well aware of this. They have painted themselves into this corner to get votes and their political candidates are now essentially forced to wallow in the identity politics mud pit whether they want to or not.
