Elon Musk Says 'Woke Mind Virus Is Making Netflix Unwatchable'

Second, as much as the talking heads of prog MSM would like to point to other metrics, the single greatest factor in the consumer migration away from woke companies is /duh the woke part. Will they get a clue? Of course not. Netflix has been a cesspool of anti-White, pro-pedo, lgbt hysteria for years now and they watched the rising tide of customer frustration crack the levees and did nothing but double down harder on the woke mind virus. This isn't the first time they've cratered and it wont be the last. This overvalued company is run by prog clowns that don't care for their shareholder's interests - just like the goofs over at Twatter.

$50 billion wiped out before breakfast and it couldn't have happened to a better company.

 

I watched season 1 of The Witcher and already turned off by this woke manure. I did my best to ignore. Season 2, watch through three episodes and sayanora. I am still trying to find a watchable series that is not filled with this woke garbage.

 

A lot of shows are unwatchable to me these days.

 

My favorite now is TCM. Lots of classic without woke garbage for the time being.

 

I'm sure by season 3 they will make Gerrald black. Cause wakanda.

 

Arcane was fun.

 

A lot of those movies could not be made today.

A few of those films they are even reluctant to show, for the most absurd stupid reasons. Politically incorrect stuff, depictions of female roles, women acting hysterically and feminine, etc...

And those movies were mostly progressive for the time they were made.

HBO Max removed the classic Gone With the Wind from their streaming platform, in response to a backlash. Then they finally brought it back but included a segment denouncing certain things in the film. Apparently the slaves were portrayed as "too happy and content".

 

I have nothing against black actors and actresses but I cannot see black elves, black witchers, or black mages in a Slavic or Polish fairy tale. I will too protest if Wakandans are 50% whites.

 

There are piracy/data hoarding groups dedicated to preserving films that are in danger of being canceled by wokeness. Not because they themselves are anti-woke, but because they're taking a stand against the woke approach of destroying everything the mob finds distasteful.

I watched an interview with Musk and he said wokeness was allowing the angry to yell and condemn thoughts other than their own. I couldn't agree more, it's beyond pathetic. My college daughter was a left leaner, but it's gotten so stupid she now understands life is not about angry causes that divide and she clearly sees the party stoking the fire. I have been in the middle fiscal conservative that socially was moderate, but these last 4 years even the middle was expected to go off the rails socially. No more will I consider a lefty politician for my vote, Biden has done so much to get this country back on track to the middle/conservatism, due to the woke BS put out everyday by this wacko administration.

 

How about a black Viking queen? I've never been to Sweden or Norway but I've always been of the opinion that their population wasn't very integrated.

I don't even watch most "new" movies or shows anymore. (anything 2000 and after). Note that I did say "most". There are a few, very few, that I will watch. Stranger Things for example actually does a pretty good job of keeping the theme of the decade its portrayed in and doesn't throw wokeness at ya. The main character is a badass too. I couldn't stand the new remake of Ghost Busters. Not just because it SCREAMED "woke" but also because frankly I thought they were all horrible at their acting. Much of it seemed too forced. (I know Netflix didn't make that movie...I'm just commenting on movies and shows in general) Loved the newest Ghost Busters movie though. And I REFUSE to watch Captain Marvel after hearing some of the commentary from the actress and a few other reasons.

Anyways, most of my viewing pleasure actually comes mainly from Japan in the form of Anime now a days. Particularly Isekai. (for those that don't know, main character and sometimes a friend with that main character is transported from Japan (either directly or just after their death) to another world and becomes a badass)

The Black actress who played the Queen of England in Bridgerton was asked about the historically incorrect casting of characters in the show. She said she was happy to see that color was not a consideration in the casting and she was thrilled that a large production like that would take that step. Denzel Washington played MacBeth. We are seeing a shift that is casting people because of their skills and not their skin color. A good thing in my view. It isn't rewriting history, it is casting a broader net for, well, casting.

I don't care when the choice of skin color is part of the reality, but as much as I like Denzel Washington and his acting ability, as Macbeth? Not appropriate to the part of the actual story. Just like casting the vertically challenged Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Wrong person for the part.

Take Denzel Washington as Creasey in Man on Fire, and you have a perfect match.

Out of curiosity, why isn't Washington suited to the part of MacBeth? Have you watched the movie? Critics lauded his performance. The very nature of acting is that you can take on different roles, and he is very talented at his craft.

 

So! if Meryl Streep was chosen to play the part of Harriet Tubman in a Movie, you'd be fine with that.

 

When Susan Rice was hired by Netflix that should have clued you in about the dominant woke Netflix culture
