Funny listening to all the Yanks blowing their trumpets about how hard they are. You dont seem to understand, we dont need guns because we are pretty unlikely to ever find ourselves in a situation where we need one. I dont permanently wear a lifejacket in case of flash floods. You think you are hard but you need guns.

Anyway, it might surprise you, but Marxists dont advocate banning guns, because in certain circumstances we advocate arming the masses, eg Indonesia 1965, Chile 1973 etc.

However there is little evidence that Americans are safer because of guns. What it means is that for example a mugger or intruder will also feel the need to carry a gun in case you shoot him, and he will be harder than you so he will shoot you first.

Just try using your "be prepared' in England and see where it will get you. Wimp or no wimp, you won't see your USA for a bit but you might find your face rearranged from inside a jail cell where women are as dangerous as men.

Criminals are armed in this country (Australia), it`s the responsible firearm owner who`s persecuted by the laws. Anti gunners universally take a shallow view of the issue of voilent crime, crime is a complex social issue, their arguments against responsible firearm ownership are emitove at best, and dishonest in the main.
