Well, Erdogan couldn't be clearer in this NYT's opinion piece he wrote. The US has to turn away from unilateral actions against Turkey or face the prospect - or is it a threat? - of Turkey switching sides --- what Erdogan calls looking for "new friends" --- presumably Russia and China and the SCO?.

In the event the US decides not to listen to him the speculation is that US forces will be asked to leave Incirlik Air base and at Izmir, (HERE) as well as the possibility that Turkey will withdraw from NATO?

If Turkey wants to go over to the dark side, that’s their business. It’s not smart long term, but they need to decide.

We’ll mourn the loss. For about two weeks.

If Erdogan moves against Nato, I fear for his life. Also for Greece, since any new leader will attack them, to gain the support of the Turkish people -and there won't be a peep from Nato. Mark my words.

You make so many false predictions. Have you ever bothered to keep track of them yourself? Might be an illuminating experience for you to try. :D

Anyone other than me thing that maybe this is one of the things Trump met with Putin about?

Maybe like Trump is ensuring they don't protect Turkey?

In my opinion it would be far better to have Russia firmly on our side than against us, especially with all the crap China is up to.

Yet the left is only worried that their little princess didn't win an election.

Well same question rises from my nation

Why Trump administration is so evil? Even we are the NATO allies.

Why did they support PYD/PKK against us?

Why did they support failed military coup in 2016?

You are backstabber here. You betrayed our alliance.
Our lira is being recovered sharply against dolar.
    Hell yesss..

Good luck with your new alliance with Suudia Arabia.
Don't forget those Islamist desert savages love money too much. And they can be bought with money, they might change side if China pays them more. Be careful.

I hope that we will continue with Russia hereafter after your betrayel :)

No we didn't betray the alliance. We didn't say anything with Turkey making money off of Daesh Oil. Nor did we say anything about Turkey allowing the Syrian Rebels Leaders to hide out in Turkey and use Turkish soil to jump off attacks on Assad.

Nor did we give Turkey a pimp slap for attacking the Kurds. We are merciful until we are not. Don't forget that.

It is not true. We did not make money with ISIS oil. But we helped some rebel groups in Syria they were against Syrian Regime, and some are connected with Al Nusrah. Anyway Assad was our enemy and it was not wrong at all.

We did that because the fighters of that groups were the Syrian Turcomen ( Ethnic Turks in Syria and Iraq remained from Ottoman period) they were our brothers actually. We could not leave them alone. We gave them weapons also against the regime. But some understood this full wrong.

You cannot understand and I cannot describe our brotherhood feelings with Turcomens.

Russian Jets bombed them, we felt very sad as a nation, then we hit Russian jet you know

Of course you should not say anything.

But your help for PKK will never be forgotten! You gave weapons to PYD, and PYD transferred them to PKK. They attack our soldiers with your weapons. That makes you traitor

ISIS Makes Up To $3 Million a Day Selling Oil, Say ...
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/isis-makes-million-day...
The oil is bought through Turkey from Syria, ... ISIS raises money in several ways, but oil is certainly a part of that. For a long time, …

If Assad was your enemy then you should have been direct with Assad and not just backed Jihadi Extremists. Trying to aid in a coup. The Turks didn't take out Assad because of Putin.

Yeah we gave weapons to the Kurds who saved some Christians that Daesh was wiping off the planet. Should have known we aren't going to allow that genocide to go unanswered. Nor would we allow Turkey to try and wipe out the Kurds.

We would have gave the weapons to Turkey if they would have went in and saved those Christians. But alas, Erdogan let that opportunity slip away from him. Instead bought oil from Daesh keeping them in business rather than taking them out.

So if Turkey was willing to allow that to take place while their Ally was fighting Daesh. They should have known there would be a price they would have to pay.

Turkey is no different than it has ever been - a law unto itself. Hmmm, that reminds me of another country. :confuse:
