Exactly what I wondered when Trump announced his candidacy.
There are some who want the power and clout of the presidency. I believe others would like to have a positive effect on our country.
We haven't been getting the best and brightest for awhile. I don't think it's the money, presidents can make a lot of money afterwards with speaking engagements and book deals.
I don't think many want to have all the scrutiny and headaches that comes with the presidency. Look at before and after pics of Obama and past presidents.
