Of course they do. But the Crimeans have a more fundamental right to self determination. I always support independence movements without exception.

If a people in a defined area (ie: not scattered all over the place) want independence and local autonomy they have a right to it which supercedes any right to keep them in a union they don't want. Irrespective of the constitution of the union, irrespective of any promises they made in the past - they have an absolute, unqualified right to independence.

The authority of the state comes from the consent of the governed, not executive fiat.

    Crimeans
    Catalonians
Scots if they go down that route again
    Anyone.

And why do you believe that? Which countries? I get the distinct impression it's the West that has nefarious aspirations in Russia's neighbouring countries because of all the war-mongering and provocative NATO exercises which are probably still going on at prodigious cost to we taxpayers of the US and UK. Maybe you don't know as much about the realpolitik of the situation as you think?

So, if 20m Californians want independence and 19.5m want to stay, the 19.5m lose their U.S. cirizenship and their rights as Americans? What is northern California wants out? What if the San Francisco Bay area wants out? Where does it stop?
Yeah, well--so much for your rights as a citizen.
Maybe the majority of Americans don't want California to leave.

Ah, good points all. It’s true that American foreign policy is absurd and based on altruism and not self-interest. However, none that changes the fact the Putin is a mudering tyrant.

Oh, absolutely, especially if his name is Putin—-he’s read Ayn Rand; he has no excuse for his behavior....and the sooner the better.

So, Russia is defending the principle of self-determination by annexing the Crimea and by massing weapons and military personal on the Russian/Ukrainian border. Russia is forced to do this in order defend the citizens of the Ukraine from American imperial aggression.

    Or:

Putin seeks the return of Russian hegemony over Eastern Europe; the American government rather he didn’t.

I suspect it’s more the latter than the former.

Poor, poor, Putin. So misunderstood by the West, so beloved by his people.

Still, there’s this: Murder, torture, imprisonments of political opponents, oppression of a free press, Pu$$y Riot, annexation of foreign lands, and on, and on, and on....

The right of self-determination? Isn’t that the rationalization Hitler used to start WWII?

You are right. I don't know that much and I don't think I do The US is nosing around Russia's neighbors, and Russia is also nosing around its neighbors, particularly in Crimea for starters.

Mueller was a Registered Republican. Which doesn't mean he is a Conservative. So quit deflecting with that garbage. If anything he is a Surrender Republican. The company he keeps tells the tale for the reality as is.....and he doesn't have anything to do with this issue. Same goes for Comey.

Moreover one cannot debunk the truth. That is what you leftists deceive yourselves about, while believing the truth can be debunked.

Oh and the only thing I carried on about was the TDS you leftists show while trying to make all issues about Trump.

This issue is about the Ukrainians and the Russians. See if you can focus on that while keeping the Trump Derangement Syndrome in check.

Mueller is a true Republican and a conservative. He is also in charge of an investigation and is doing his job, and that is what Trump advocates have a problem with. The issue is all about Trump's conduct regarding the issues. Anybody who doesn't support your wannabe dictator is a "leftist" in your little world. And you are correct in that the truth cannot be debunked, but you sure as hell try.
What, in your view, is the issue about Ukraine and Russia?

Humans can and will rationalize almost anything, even politicians like Hitler and Bush.

However, it appears to be true that Crimeans are very happy to be GONE from Nuland's Goons in Ukraine, and returned to the Motherland Russia.

    Putin is no fool.

Prove Mueller is a true Republican and Conservative. In another thread. You should be able to show who he hangs around with. Then be able to show us why he doesn't show up at C-Pac. Or any other Republican events.

The Ukraine is disputing Russia taking the Crimea. Where the Ukrainians state that a part of Crimea is their land. Problem is....Putin already controls all of the Crimea and has since he took it.

There is also the issue of the Democrats and their NGO's that backed the Corrupt Ukrainians they wanted in Power.

Why did you think the Podestas were there? Deviate Demos are always going to go with the Slim Shady.

As a conservative do you support government bailouts of the auto industry? Prove that Mueller isn't a Republican. Who he hangs out with means nothing. Trump says that he has a lot of democratic friends. Means nothing. I hang out with a lot of Republicans. Means nothing.

No I don't support bailouts of the Auto Industry. You don't think some Auto Companies want Putin and or the Ukrainians to bail them out do you?

I asked you to prove he was. As again just because someone Registers Republican doesn't mean they vote Republican. Or that they are a Conservative. Like I said take that to another thread. As this one isn't about Mueller.

Trump must have.....he picked one as his SOD. His White House Chief of Staff and Navarro his economic advisor and tariff man. Which was a major mistake. Trusting Democrats. Then again he may needed some deviates for specific purposes.

Have you figure out yet.....what is taking place with the Ukrainians and Putin?
