That's your opinion but 62 million Trump voters disagree with you. I like Tucker Carlson and if nominated i'd vote for him in a heartbeat but I'm hoping one of the Trump kids gets it instead.

IOW, it's your preference that we have another unqualified, fatuous entertainer devoted to dividing the country as the next prez? At least you are consistent.

I agree but it's really time for commercial sponsors to call the left's bluff. They can attack a brand but that won't effect the company's bottom line much. Americans vote on issues not products, but conservatives came out in support of ChickFil A when they espoused their religious values and the left called for a boycott, not only did it negate any boycott but ChickFil A's stock rose. America needs to ignore the left and their shills the MSM. The truth is the left is an annoying, noisy minority that wastes an enormous amount of breath over a lot of stuff that really doesn't matter and should just be ignored.

The problem sir isn't the cops so much as it is a fudamentally dishonest press that, at this point would prefer Zhi to Trump.

In point of fact, George Floyd was not murdered. He died of a heart attack likely as a result of the deadly cocktail of drugs he took because he had covid-19. Please note cops are not as a general rule trained as paramedics. Damn near every perp in Mr Floyd's position yells, I can't breathe or something similar in order to get back on his feet and continue the struggle from where it left off before. Asking the cops who have little to no medical training beyond CPR to make accurate medical diagnoses in the field is a bit like asking social workers to teach particle physics.

Well, you guys are 0 for 3 for qualified, Obama, Hillary and now Biden. Empty Suit, Raving Lunatic and Doddering Old and Demented. Trump accomplished more in less than one term than Obama did in two. Hillary would have slept through four years propped up by booze and pills any time she had to make an appearance. Old Joe should be playing shuffle board some where.

Dude the only thing I'm seeing is a bunch trouble hunting foul mouth punks most of whom are old enough if not bright enough to know better insulting cops and interfering with others equally constitutional right if free passage.

In truth, Trump is not qualified to be the mayor of a small city while all three Dems you mentioned have proven their qualifications and fitness for years.

Epidemiologists believe the wet bar had nothing to do with it.

The problem seems to be in the bats. They seem to surive and they carry large nubers of differen SARS viruses like the two that crossed to humans - this one that causes COVID19 and the previous one.

Obviously, Trump removing our scientists did not CAUSE anything, and I didn't suggest that.

But, the improvements we helped China make in Wuhan were a joint effort. So, there are a few issues arround that:
    - we would have found out earlier (and the CCP would have found out earlier, too) had our scientists been there. Our scientists would have been far less reluctant to announce what was happening.

    - continuing the effort there is important. This SARS varient isn't the last one. And, what is learned in Wuhan could be applied to the same problem that exists in other places, like the places we get MERS, Ebola, etc. from.

This is a world wide problem that obviously affects us in a serious way. Surrendering is not an option. And, there certainnly will not be a way to wall off America from viruses!!

Sure. But, I'm not saying that all scientists are right. I have NEVER said that. I do not believe that to be true.

BUT, you have proposed ignoring science that has world wide agreement within the expert community and you have done so without providing ANY justification or serious thought for doing that.

    And, that is not acceptable.

When we want public policy to be informe by science, the science has to be the best of what we have today.

Science isn'tstatic, there are topics on which scientists are making serious progress allong the way. Scientists are actively testing remedies and vaccines. They're tracing the rate of evolution of the virus, studying how it is being spread today, They are constantly tuning models of spread to include behavior that is being found - such as cell phone tracking, beach activity, what churches are doing, etc.

So, LOTS of ideas are being considered all the time. But, when we here from them, it is because there was serious work done and evidence devloped - NOT just claims of what one person thinks might be the case.

Hey, BB, I ran across an old George Carlin shot on Johnny Carson, in which he wondered: "If a stupid person goes senile, how can we tell?"

That was 1985 and fit Biden to a half-sentence.

Having killed 55 million thus far, this scenario is not implausible whatsoever.

Tammy Duckworth would make a splendid decoration to that monument's left nostril of Thomas Jefferson.

If that last part is correct, then we may have just witnessed the great hoax ever committed against our gullible, hyper-maneuverable left. That or the biggest waste of tax money as so many academics are too stupid to deserve their jobs.

The entirely fraudulent Fauci wants to drag it all out, threatening another wave. This gave the Democrat state governors the stomach to further extend the very same lockdowns now being OPENLY flaunted.

They lied and kept us imprisoned. In November we will vote our revenge.

So just because it originated in Wuhan, China, we may not assign responsibility? If it did NOT originate there, then you would have a case, which you do not.

China had NOTHING to do with the virus moving into the human population.

Most counries would not have detected this problem as early as China did.

And, the slowness of response that really nailed the USA has to do with the fact that ALMOST ALL our COVID19 came from through Europe, not directly from China. And, we didn't handle that.

I have no problem respecting the views of scientists who are rational and providing supporting information and explanations. However a great many are single-point people- they get off on one thing, and ignore all the peripheral issues following their guidance would create. Such people reject the fundamentals of critical thinking- they get their priorities inverted, they disregard the peripherals, they discard the concept of properly recognizing and respecting orders of magnitude. Thus, we have a great number of people thinking they are expert that can't agree with the rest of the experts. They may mean well- but certainly can't arrive as a consensus of opinion.

Dr Faucci has bounced all over the place in his statements, as many others have. Which great scientist will be follow when they don't agree any more than we do?

Nobody has really been "right" so far- and they seem to think it's a competition for acceptance of a view rather than for the results that are produced.
It's an attitude that is being compromised with the political and special interest people twisting the basic concepts of justice as well.
How can it be rational that we require white people to wear masks but not blacks? I think that was in Oregon.

I think Faucci was one who was in favor of requiring people stay inside and wear masks, except protestors, who didn't need to because that protest was more important. Not quoting, but remember the contrast in logic of it. There is so much BS being pumped out by the media that nobody can be sure of anything.

I'm becoming more hard-line on this crap everyday- less tolerant of it, less tolerant of the people promoting it. Best shot to deal with all of it- virus, the anarchists- is straight talk with legitimate foundations and
less or hopefully no stupidity tolerated. Not likely to happen, we seem to have far too many people lacking the capacity to do that.

Name ONE scientist you are referring to.

If you can't, then please remember that.
Dr. Fauci has been HIGHLY consistent on science.

He's been open to different policy directions - as he represents science, not policy.
If you see that happen, then cite it. By questioning like that, you can get more information that may well explain the factor you think is in some way incorrect. Remember that you are NOT the scientist. (And, neither am I.)
Justicie is a political or philosophical issue - not science.
That is highly unlikely to be an issue of science. I doubt that county in OR is claiming a scientific basis for their decision.
Again - cite your complaint and ask the question.

I doubt Fouci commented on protest being of overriding importance, as that is not an issue of science.

Someone who studies these things might have made an assessment of how many protests there have been ans what percent wear masks copared to the general public. But, I haven't seen that.
    We should be watching Europe.

They have done so hugely better than has America that it should hurt every American's brains just to consider it. What the HELL happened to America that we should have allwed this to happen here?

Also, we have states like New York, New Jersey, Massachusettes, Connecticut, and a few others where they have gotten COVID19 WAY under control.

Today, we have huge success and huge failure.

Why are we not applying the methods of our success to the locations of our failure?

That is a policy question, of course. I think almost all the questions are on policy. Almost NONE of our questions have that much to do with science, as science is doing pretty much EXACTLY what it should be doing.

It seems silly- you always want some kind of detailed proof of the self-evident so you can come up with another denial or counter-claim. Nothing to be gained by that, already know it's what you will do.

IF you can't see it, you can't see it. IF you don't understand it, you don't understand it. I realize that- but it seems that you can't see anything you don't already believe.
Like being color blind, not being able to see the writing on the wall unless it's in the shade you want it to be.

If you didn't think so little of America, perhaps you would realize that until the left fell of the wagon and into the cess-pool, Europe watched us. Now they laugh at the tolerance of these fools pretending they have legitimate purpose for being jackasses. Of course- the jackasses don't know they are being jackasses, because they never consider they might be not as smart as they think they are. Quite a conundrum for them. They think they are an inspiration for the world, instead of something a fart in church.
    Very, very tiring.

Except for one fact, we never had scientist in Wuhan.
