I don't think that is possible, something to do with "white privilege", white victims of hate crimes suffer retribution (for past discrimination) and this is something to be celebrated.

 

if a white person woudl of got charged with a hate crime for falsely claiming two black men attacked him over racial reasons.... then yes I agree, he should be treated the same

 

Assuming that he has no priors, and no criminal history whatsoever, I would be surprised if he did any jail time.

Probably just probation and a fine.

Especially since, if he admits guilt and takes a plea deal, they might even let him cop to a misdemeanor.
