Until I became a paying member I had no idea how deep the fear mongering went. Incessant calls begging for money because Obama was going to EO the 2A out of existence. And then what would any decent (read: white) American use to protect oneself from the menacing brown hordes invading our Southern border? The funny thing was that it was so painfully obvious that they were reading from a script, and because I was a paying member, they expected me to nod in unison with their histrionics. Which is what each of you do.

I used to read NRA stuff my uncle got in the mail when I was a kid. It was “cheesy” for lack of a better term. I prefer well written requests for support.

While I approve of some of what the NRA does, I’ve never had any desire to join. I received a year free membership with a firearm purchase once but never claimed it.

You are making a huge mistake equating gun owners with the NRA. Only about 4% of gun owners are members.

Real good point here and of course the ones who would get them confiscated are the guys that have never broken the law and own several legal firearms with background checks on every single one, like myself.
