FAKE NEWS and Donald Trump

Donald Trump HATES the media. There's simply no other word for it. To be more specific, he hates media that slanders him at every given possibility. President Trump himself engages in the partisan game of vilifying the left but condoning the right. This is not unusual. Its much easier to discredit the source as sensationalist nonsense than to argue the talking points. Everybody does it; I do it, you do it; Donald Trump does it.

But, the man has a point.

Deep down inside, we all know that America is engaged in a perilous dance with fascism. The ultimate high stakes poker game of business, where upper management happens to be the politicians within the party in office. It doesn't matter if its the left or right in power; both are handcuffed to the establishment that elected them. Not the people; the establishment. The more a candidate owes to the establishment, the more the candidate becomes a puppet of corporations, movements, or other influences. Trump is fascinating in that he owes very little to the Republican party as an established political entity; his debt is with the people.

The fascism present within our system is not traditional or textbook. With the evolution of the instant news cycle and social media, the communication of humanity warped to levels that changed EVERYTHING. The possibility for the mobs opinion being heard became a reality. But with it came the possibility for endless, instant manipulation.

Fascism today operates within the media. The biggest, baddest corporation could not influence the population without a media presence. Thus, we can all see that the influence held by media corporations superseded even the political candidates themselves. Fascism has evolved, once again, into something hidden right before our very eyes, on flatscreens, from a few inches wide to curved, beastly, Orwellian devices worth as much as a used car. Someday there will be a name for it. For now, lets just agree its happening. And it was working.

And then came Donald Trump.

Hated by the left. Hated by the right. Trashed in both respective media propaganda machines, right up until the Republicans realized the impossible was happening. And he was elected.

The fake news movement only became exposed because of this man and his absurd haircut. The media fascism is only threatened because of this man and his propensity for the ridiculous, his never ending capitalization of free publicity, and his volatile, shattering hobby of tweeting out the inconsistencies of media double speak. Donald Trump started the movement. What we are witnessing now may well be the death throes of media fascism. I hope it is. But realistically it will persist, like a parasite, and continue to pervade society through tabloids, Hollywood, and talk radio.

For now, thank Mr. President for doing you a favor and demanding some journalistic honesty.

The last thing in the world Donald Trump wants...is honesty in the media. As nearly as I can tell, what he does want is favorable coverage...no matter if it is honest or dishonest.

What is there that convinces you otherwise?

 

I think he does want integrity when it comes to his beliefs, perhaps not as it pertains to his personal life. But regardless of the mans intentions, my argument is that the effect trump has had is a chain reaction resulting in journalistic integrity. Regardless of whether or not he is an impartial critic of the media as a whole, he is the main force behind the movement we are witnessing.

Is there some kind of cognitive dissonance with trumpettes? I seem to recall Trump being the King of the Birthers and lied thru he teeth about that. I recall that he has lied about unemployment rates, murder rates, crowd sizes, penis size (okay that's a throwaway), and has made all kinds of completely unsubstantiated and in some cases criminal accusations against all kinds of people without proferring a shred of evidence, and continues to propagate crap he gets from his constant watching of cable news especially "fox and friends" which is perhaps the most brain dead show on the idiot box. the amount of time his administration has spent trying to get us to believe not what he said, but what he "really" meant. Blundering, bumbling, inept, amateur, way way out of his league.


The man is a walking, talking fake news generator all on his own and his followers ignore this chronic condition he suffers from.

Trump claims that the news media is fake, then lies through his teeth about something. When called on it, he claims that he only was repeating what he saw in the media. And the deplorables get leg tingles.
The fact is that the public perception of trump is emerging and it's not a flattering picture.
Trump is coming to be seen as a dishonest, immature, insecure and rather ignorant person who lacks the character to be potus.
Trump has done this all by himself but the turd polishers keep trying to shift the blame to others.

Obviously when taking into account the collusion of the press and the DNC during the elections the press is controlled by the DNC. The term of the most autocratic president we've had in a long time just ended. Many of the terms in that definition could be easily applied to leftist tyrants.

For the most part Trump exaggerates, and so far they have been harmless. If he lies about something that costs lives or screws the people, he will be held accountable, unlike with yellow dog Democrats. The right won't blindly follow him the way Obamabots would follow their messiah. If he isn't able to fulfill his promises because of resistance by both parties he can be forgiven. He's been in office for two months, he certain can't 'screw up his presidency' in that amount of time. If the left would stop criticizing every little thing then Trump supporters would be more responsive to listening when something legitimate happens.
