A theme across the whole of Europe at the moment. Is it the politicans? The Migrants? Who knows... It makes you ponder about the future for Europe. We voted to leave Europe as we had enough of EU law, including for many, immigration law.

In coming years there will be big happenings in Europe politics, Not all of them healthy. I hope the charlatans in Brussels are happy with themselves

Has nothing to do with migrants.
Thomas Kemmerich was elected prime minister of the state Thuringia (not 'president' as the article suggests). The prime minister of each state is elected in the local parliament in said state, he/she is not directly elected by the voters. Parties field a candidate if they have gained enough votes and see a realistic chance for him/her. Kemmerich is from the FDP (center-right, liberal re economic politics) and was supported by far-right votes from AFD members of said parliament during the secret election. A local prime minister from the FDP is a very rare thing, put into office with considerable help from the far-right AFD is even rarer.
One problem is, he won't find any majorities for his politics in parliament as other parties are too far away from his policies or are not interested in cooperating. He said he wants to find majorities in the future without support from the far-left party Die Linke (who already claimed the 'republic is in danger', yeah right) as well as the AFD. Even if the AFD supported him a hundred percent, which is extremely unlikely, he wants to rely on his own party (FDP), the Conservatives (CDU) and the social-democrats (SPD). However, this is also unlikely to happen.
He's in a tricky situation and the head of the FDP has already been criticized by his own party members for allowing Kemmerich to accept AFD support. Of course, most papers always tell you this is Armageddon 2.0 and the end of the world is near.

How is Brussels responsible for anything here? Europe has always suffered with nationalism, racism and general socio-political divisions (they're why we have a long history of wars) and the EU was a vain effort to counterbalance some of that. This (like Brexit) is just one of countless examples of the divisive pushing back against it.

The far right in Britain shouted the loudest leading to Brexit. This encouraged the far right in the rest of the EU to shout louder. Yet you blame Brussels and blame everyone except those who are really responsible for the rise of the far right

The far right who shouted the loudest in the UK made it about asylum seekers which had nothing to do with the EU!

Attacking my accusation of divisiveness by blaming some amorphous group of "others" is the height of irony and really only proves my point. If you're only blaming "them" for our issues, regardless of who the "them" are in your mind, you're part of the problem by definition.

I'm using the English language word to accurately describe what I'm seeing. If other people are independently using the same word, maybe we all have a point.

Mr Kemmerich has resigned from his office today, this makes new elections in Thuringia very likely. However, his party, the FDP, has excatly five seats (out of ninety), so they alone cannot dissolve parliament as regulations say it needs a two third majority for this, at least sixty seats in this case. This thing has nothing to do with Brussels and I don't see it being a "theme across the whole of Europe at the moment" either.
Although Kemmerich was clearly supported by the far-right AFD, he said he doesn't want their support, not now and not in the future. With new elections being very likely, it's not clear whether he will again become the prime minister in Thuringia.

AFD is more left as dems in USA. The problem is Merkel transformed Germany in a lawless de-industrialized lunatic asylum run by hard core criminal lefts. The united lefts of CSUCDUSPDFDPGreensLefts are highly corrupt, poor educated and do anything to destroy the country within.
Together they fight AFD, the only true, but extremely weak opposition.
Presstitutes do not report about beating, threatening, murders of opposition politicians by Merkel Youth - ANTIFA.
    No police investigations.
BTW German 'police' is a joke and is good only for issuing of thickets by speed violations and imprisonment of anyone who do not accept the dictatorship of Merkel and her gang.

Germany is finished therefore the last sane Germans leave it in droves.

Germany hasn't democracy, but a insane dictatorship of super-idiots!
In ten years it becomes a country without industry, triumph of radical Islam and no law.
Until now Merkel regime kills only small amount of no-sayers, but tomorrow it will be a sea of blood.

The Asylum seekers the British were freaking about were the Poles and others from Eastern Europe, and that was before the refugee crisis. This is why I couldn't understand the stupidity of the Ukrainians in wanting to join the EU, when they really weren't wanted? But then again, they only knew what they were being told by the mafia owned medias in Kiev.

Germany has a solution, lock them up in Greece. There were major riots with the migrants on the island of Lesvos two days ago, and special forces from Athens had to be called. The situation on Lesvos, Chios and Samos that border Turkey is desperate. Athens is even considering declaring Marshall law.

The refugee camps can hold only about 2,000 people, and they now have about 10 times as much so the conditions are abhorrent. I hope the people living there are arming themselves, but not only on the islands, but in other parts of Greece as well. There are now wars going on between the Afghan gangs as well as with other migrants in Thessaloniki.

All this mind you, is in a country that was considered the safest place in Europe 30 years ago. Robberies and murders simply didn't exist.

Your postings are so absurdly out of touch with reality, and you have already impressively proven this in the past time and again, that I don't intend to reply to this nonsense. It simply doesn't make any sense at all. I have no desiree to become part of your fantasy narrative. Don't talk to me.
And this topic has absolutely nothing to do with migrants or immigrants at all. Sad that this seems way too complicated for certain people.
Thuringia will very likely have new elections in the near future and we'll see what the results will be and which parties are willing to form a functioning coalition.

Fighting to decide how your country should focus on it's own people first is "far right" I think.

Laughed my ars of when I heard about. The CDU and FDP could not bring themselves to support the election of the former Governor Remelow.
Than this jokster from the FDP, with barely 5% in the election becomes a candidate for Governor and CDU and FDP get ambushed by the Neo NAZIS, getting 100% of their vote and buuuuuummmmm he is Governor of the State by the grace of the Neo NAZIs.
The CDU and FDP in Thueringen have just given the proof that they are a bunch of idiots.

Whenever I hear anyone described as far right these days I take it with a big grain of salt.

Even conservative jews are getting called Nazis.

That's what happens when lefties cry wolf.
