    Ok guys,

I've been bored and googling pictures of the glory days, the 90's. Back when Uncle Jessie and Jerry Seinfeld rocked the tube. Back when it was cool to have a big CD player, with tiny headphones, as opposed to a tiny Ipod, with huge headphones. Back when John McClane was crushing terrorists with the best lines of all time!

What's your favorite 90's electronic device? I think mine would have to be the Talkboy (From Home Alone):

How about the first of the MMORPGs....like "Ultima Online"?

Compared to "World of Warcraft" or "Lord of the Rings Online"....it looks like Mickey Mouse in "Steamboat WIllie" compared to "Frozen".

Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. I still use emulators to play those games to this day. Back in the day there wasn't as much cross platforming so PC games were on PC and console games were on consoles. I played countless hours on Playstation and N64. To this day those are my two favorite systems even though they are technically far inferior the the newer consoles. Since most games today are cross platform I just end up playing them on PC. Also, liked the Dreamcast even though it didn't last long.

Sony Walkman, it was obnoxious to use because of the cassettes and big and clunky but it kept me occupied while doing my landscaping jobs in my youth.

Sony Discman, because it was somewhat better than my walkman........cept for the whole skipping if you moved to fast issue.

GAU 8 Avenger, my first gun. They actually predate the 90s but that is the decade I finally manage to get my hands on one. Had to pull it around in my Radio Flyer wagon.

My Super Nintendo was my pride and joy as a kid/teenage. Super Mario World, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Link to the Past, Contra, FN Earthbound (my cartridge is worth 300 bucks now weee). So many memories. I have a SNES but it doesn't want to power right for some reason.

Also my walkman/discman were essential. Too bad the 'anti-skip' tech was BS

Yea you had to be careful running with a walkman. My favorite Super Nintendo game was a tie between Donkey Kong World and Super Mario Kart racing!

Oh yeah, I can't believe I forgot those.

Honestly IMO The SNES has one of the greatest Good to bad game ratios of all time. The 64 had a lot going for it, and the GC had basically Smash Bros, but that's about it.

I played a little bit of that - loved the idea of it, but I was a kid too young to have a real job and so couldn't do the monthly subscription. W/o sweet graphics, they put more thought into games like that

I personally remember a few games. I still play Red Baron classic (1989), Castles, and Redguard (elder scrolls 2, precursor to morrowind)

    - - - Updated - - -

Belay that - I loved Redguard but don't play it anymore :D

Cubed, I will be your best friend forever if you can tell me you played this game at one point. This was the 90's version of Call of Duty in my town (for PC)!

Ha I played that :D I remember it was a mishmash of so many other games. I see some Duke Nukem level skins, some Earthbound character skins. Way to much fun :D

I was definitely a Duke Nukem guy, and then Counterstrike and StarCraft/Diablo when I was older.

Wish I had the computer I have now back then though, holy crap that would have been awesome.

Counterstrike was my JAM! So in high school my parents sent me to a college preperatory boarding school. To pass the time, we all LANed together and played CS. I loved all the custom maps. I swear I could play it 48 hours straight. Then Call of Duty came to the servers and it was the same way (on the PC).

Yeah, I'm a big fan of COD (And Black Ops) because they are easy, pick up and play a few rounds kind of games. No real need for investment other then to level your guy. I need to get a PS4 so IC an realy enjoy the new COD as my computer (pimpin as it is) can't quite handle the new graphics.

I had one of those pocket virtual pet things I forgot the name. Those were pretty popular back then.

But overall best electronic device of the 90s was the Nintendo 64. I remember the first time I saw Mario 64 in the store and it absolutely blew my mind that a video game could be 3D like that. I still have my old N64 and I will whoop each and every one of you in Mario Kart 64 lol.

Free app games now have better graphics than the original Star Craft.

I remember when Mark Hamill and "Biff from Back to the Future" in Wing Commander-III was considered "amazing" and "ground-breaking".

Actually "Roller Coaster Tycoon" was pre-dated by "Theme Park"....I had it. I remember, you had to hire handymen to fix rides and janitors to sweep the park (and clean up vomit from overly-exciting rides).

(Set in the UK) it also featured a "union negotiating" segment, where you had to negotiate with the union leaders to raise salaries.....move too fast, you gave away too much in concessions....move towards the union position too slow, they went on strike. :)

All this talk about Rollar Coaster Tycoon, I just downloaded RCT for my computer through Steam. Cost me 10 bucks, but these memories I'm getting back are priceless. Can't wait to build one when I get home after work (man I sound dorky).
