Especially in Florida where you can go to a shop and come out with a gun in the same hour

    I was surprised too:

    http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/FPP/FAQs2.aspx

That means that the gun used (AR-15) in this shooting can be bought straight from a shop without having to wait any time. Seems like this type of gun is commonly used in mass shootings such as was used at Sandy Hook

Since the FBI is using part of theier budget to shet up a rogue government within a governent to overthrow a duely elected president they seem to have little time or interest in kids like Cruz

Is more money for employee bonuses the answer?

    Probably not

And how many people have been murdered by AR15's? You really want to suggest that the lives lost are not as important as the property saved?

Not every one but definitely anyone that is threatening to shoot up a school. FBI dropped the ball here and they admit it. Who can't admit is is the leftist who are suddenly FBI defenders because they don't want the FBI discredited in any way shape or form in this era of trying to impeach Trump.

A visit from the FBI would have at a minimum served Cruz with notice that he was on the radar screen.

I guarantee if two years from now the FBI starts to regularly try to take guns away from people who broke no laws they will get attacked for interfering in state's rights and individual's right to own guns. Over reach if you like. This would be even more likely under a democratic president.

This was a responsibility of the state of Florida and the local sheriff. Not the FBI. What federal law was being broken here before the attacks (or for that matter after them as murder is state crime in most cases)?

That reminds me of when I wanted a pellet gun a few years back; I had to apply for a licence for that, and from the background checks 'hoops' I had to jump through to get it, anyone would have thought I was applying for custody of the crown jewels.

Coming from someone on the side of those attempting to bring down a president with a conspiracy theory.

Do you think that would have mattered to someone who shot dead 17 people? This was not a rational person. He might simply have attacked immediately.

Regardless of that issue, should the FBI make it a priority of identifying individuals who are a threat to shoot people and should they be given the power to take guns away from those that do? That is the only reasonable way they could matter and I don't think most of the US public (particularly in the South where there is deep fear of federal authority) wants them to do so.

In texas a few years ago the Republican (still) governor had members of the Texas Rangers (or similar group) go watch Army troop maneuvers in Texas least they attack the state. We live in a period where fear of the federal government is extreme. No one is going to support the FBI from taking guns away, and the state is going to ignore them I suspect.

The FBI should not have the power to remove guns

They should be able to search out people like cruz and obtain a warrent to pick him up for mental examination

And if the shrinks deem him a threat he should be put in a hospital

Not to mention the governor of Florida and the local police officials. Cops were called that many times and the local officials and law enforcement did nothing! Looks to me like more is wrong with the local and state governments than with the FBI.

Are you advocating giving the FBI the authority to arrest and detain a US citizen without any legal protections whatsoever? And then you are going to let shrinks on their own authority commit a person to a " hospital" Looks to me like throwing the US Constitution out the window to protect the second amendment.

Shoving all in to try and buy the pot?

The governor and local police did not take the call from a youtuber about cruz

The blame belongs with the FBI

Did you miss the part about obtain a warrent before picking him up?

Giving each person his day in court?

I know there are corrupt gun grabbing liberal judges who will abuse their power

but its still better than having political hacks like lois learner sitting behind a curtain signing gun confiscation orders

Its funny how, across the entire country, we have large numbers of potential school shooters being arrested, isn't it?

Little doubt that the governor of Florida and local police officials were so pro-gun that they would refuse to take his guns away even if they spotted him armed and on his way to the school

So let me get this straight.

You support ignoring the Constitution when it comes to things that are actually in the Constitution, like the 2A, but you're against arresting violent people which is completely covered under due process laws.

What in the world are you talking about?
