FBI alleged to have leaked Project Veritas legal memos to New York Times for 'hit piece'

The Department of Justice has been accused of tipping off the New York Times about recent raids on Project Veritas's current and former employees. The attorney also suggested federal prosecutors may have leaked the group's legal communications to the newspaper. Project Veritas, the undercover group founded by conservative journalist James O'Keefe, has come under the federal scanner over the alleged theft of a diary belonging to President Joe Biden's daughter Ashley.

O'Keefe's attorney Harmeet Dhillon slammed the Times report as a "hit piece" and demanded to know if the DOJ had leaked the legal memos to the newspaper, which could be deemed an extraordinary and illegal move. "I can't say how the New York Times got this information, but they got it in a way that is illegal and unethical," Dhillon told Fox News. "We have a disturbing situation of the US Attorney's office or the FBI tipping off the New York Times to each of the raids on Project Veritas's current and former employees," she continued. "We know that because minutes after these raids occurred they got calls from the New York Times which was the only journalism outlet that knew about it. And they published this hit piece today, which is really despicable. I don't think I've ever seen this low from the New York Times before, to publish people's private legal communications," she added. "This is a scandal of epic proportions. Every journalist who is not worried about this should hang up their journalism card, and all First Amendment lawyers as well," Dhillon insisted.

This is some serious shady actions going on by the FBI and New York Times. How did the NY Times know of the pre-dawn raids? How did the New York Times get and publish Attorney Client privileged information seized by the FBI. Only the lawyer and O'Keefe knew of this information. How did the NY Times get it?

If you support the 4th Amendment, 10th Amendment, and the Bill of Rights, you should be incredibly troubled by the actions of the FBI regardless of your political affiliation.

The FBI seized legal information, contacts, research, and more from a journalist. They did it going after a diary that the Biden family has refused to corroborate is legitimate. Although it appears to be legit.

What laws did O'Keefe break that would warrant a pre-dawn raid on him and two of his former staff at their homes? Seriously? What law was broken?

Our FBI has become a Fascist institution, abusing their power for political reasons.

 

If the democrats had a shred of integrity they would never NEED to resort to these Stalinist tactics.

That's actually a fair assessment now. The FBI now will lie, subvert the justice system against a U.S. President, raid homes for unknown laws, and leak confidential and classified information the the MSM.... and nothing happens to them.

What the FBI and the NY Times did here is pure fascism. They are attacking a journalist, for no reason people can fathom, because the journalist's stories are critical of those in power.

You don't seem to care that the FBI has raided a journalist, seized his phones and more, and then the FBI leaked attorney client privileged information. It's so bad that an Emergency panel of judges froze the FBI and made them turn over all the evidence to a "Master", that will hold it until the court can decide by the end of the month.

You are laughing about the FBI going full fascist. No one can even site a law that O'Keefe broke, but they pre-dawn raided him and seized confidential information and shared it out to the NY Times. You either support the U.S. Constitution and are against the FBI here, or you support fascism. It looks like we know where you stand.

What law did O'Keefe break? Why is the FBI engaged in an "alleged" diary of Biden's daughter?

Note: If the diary is true, Biden was taking showers with his teenage daughter who said she felt it was not appropriate.
