    Link.

So....this indicates the FBI is upping the anti....to include an investigation of 'seditious conspiracy.'

This warrant was to enable the FBI to seize the mobile phone of the Lawyer acting for members of the 'Oath Keepers.' I imagine, as is the case down here, that, over there, to get a warrant to seize the phone of a Lawyer acting for a defendant as opposed to getting a warrant to seize property of a defendant would need to meet some serious thresholds, very high bars, before it could happen.

I have had a look at your offence of seditious conspiracy and it carries a maximum of 20 years. What happened on Jan 6 seems to meet the definition quite succinctly, and the icing on this cake could be that Humpty Trumpty gets nailed, caught in that net. Here is the definition of 'seditious conspiracy.'

Well, if the idiots of Jan 6, and their conduct, don't fill that bill, I dunno what would. And, I see Humpty getting embroiled in this sooner or later.

I know republicans like to pretend this rally and riot didn’t happen the exact time the election was being certified, but it’s pretty obvious what they were doing.

The worst they can be accused of is being extremely stupid. The fact that the stupid, were unarmed, makes any charge of insurrection or sedition, soap-opera fodder. Those charged and those soon to be charged are being hung out like dirty underwear - as a warning.

If this were Henry VIII's day - heads would be on pikes outside of Pelosi's office.

You don't get warrants to seize a Lawyer's phone.....on grounds including seditious conspiracy if this was being regarded as 'soap-opera fodder' by the FBI.

In my opinion, shooting dogs from covid fear is far worse than January the 6th.
How could those monsters do that?

    Jan 6th is gone.

    That what I thought.

A warrant requires only probable cause = reason to believe. So an FBI agent has "reason to believe" and a judge ok'd it.

It's a felony to leak a warrant. Why would I believe the word of a felonious FBI Agent? Why would you view a corrupt FBI agent who leaks to the press as an independent examiner of facts, or even credible? Most of us know no felons, yet between the FBI and Fake News Reporters they traffic if felony leaks, constantly.

Further, I didn't see a copy of the image that the receiver of the felonious leak claimed they got from the felon that leaked it to them. Did you?

500 now charged in the Capitol Protest. They are facing a variety of charges ranging from disturbing the peace to vandalism, with a smaller number facing assault raps. Nobody been charged with sedition or treason.

This is the problem with modern electronic communication devices and issues of privacy.

A lot of times these investigators will come up with some bullshit excuse to get the warrant from the judge, and then those claims will never be questioned.
When citizens are served with a warrant, they're not even entitled to see the alleged reasons for that warrant, nor are usually given any sort of logical explanation.

If trump had won and Democrats tried to stop the certification of the election while calling for Pence to be executed and Democratic leaders were replacing key members of government to set this up would you be shrugging so indifferently?

Mostly peaceful again only matters if you agree with the protesters. The January 6th protest was mostly peaceful, a lot more so than leftist riots nobody was raped or killed and billions of dollars and damage didn't occur, and it didn't carry on to other cities over the next 8 months.

Thanks for the definition. I would say that the Portland rioters definitely fit that definition.

You can't make a charge against the individual so you seize the individuals attorneys phone? They better hope the attorney was involved in the riots because if not, they couldn't use anything they find on his phone and his client just got a free pass for attorney client privilege.

You mean like when Democrats tried to storm the SCOTUS to stop a swearing in. Beating on the doors, climbing on statues, and defacing government property outside?
Only difference was Republicans locked them out instead of inviting them in.

Zorro, read the Article linked. Mother Jones was sent a copy of the Warrant by the person it was addressed to...the Lawyer!

They better have it on good merit that the attorney was somehow involved. If not they just blew the cases for all he represents. Texting and emailing your attorney is privileged information. Most in law enforcement wouldn't be that dumb unless they had a warrant for the attorney with some powerful evidence behind it.

Well, since they got nothing from his speech, they would have to find a text on his phone of Trump telling someone to go attack the capital.
I think we all know where thats going.
