As an Eagles fan that would push me towards Fetterman, but some of his policies are just too extreme for me

Why are Pennsylvanians so up in arms about Oz not being from the state? Are they so tribalistic that they're willing to support a lunatic like Fetterman?

If he doesn't live in PA he should run in whichever state he calls home. I am a bit up in arms over it as well. Senators have the responsibility of representing their state, not some other state. The electoral process in America could use some serious reform.

Whatever Oz’s faults might be, it’s nothing compared the the Fetterman train wreck. The man can’t understand the spoken word without a computer to translate for him. How effective do you think he will be in the Senate?

Like Biden, his problems go beyond his current mental state. He’s never held a real job. He’s got crazy ideas about turning violent felons lose on society. His politics are at least as radical as those of Bernie Sanders. And yet this is what 40+ percent the people of Pennsylvania want for a senator. Talk about brainwashed!

Well, not to be nitpicky with facts, but he worked as insurance underwriter. He then ran for mayor and also became a youth program director in Braddock. He also founded a non-profit.

Not sure what your definition of not having a real job means...

And perhaps what's actually happening is you're using hyperbole and dismissing the opinions of people you don't agree with. Just perhaps. I mean, occasionally it happens in politics and on this website. Having a different opinion of someone isn't being brainwashed. It's part of America.

I don't live in PA, so I figure they should get who they want in the senate. That said, I don't trust a republican lead Congress to live up to the few promises they've made. In particular, abortion. They keep saying it's not a slippery slope now that Roe v Wade is gone, but they love slippery slopes. I know because they use them all the time to argue against the other side. If you allow gay marriage, then people will marry cows. If you let transgender kids be that way in school, then you'll have kids pooping in litter boxes identifying as cats. Sound familiar? But now when they say overturning Roe v Wade won't lead to a federal abortion ban I'm supposed to believe them? People are great projectors, they tend to accuse everyone else of what they actually are. Makes me wonder about all the accusations of pedophilia hurled at Democrats, I'm looking at you Matt Gaetz. So from that stand point, I would prefer Fetterman, but again, I don't have to live in the state and with the choice, so I'll trust the people of Pennsylvania.

After last night's debate, the only reason one would vote for Fetterman would be if you vote for all Democrats no matter how bad they are.

As for Fetterman, he's never held a real job in his life. That's a fact. He was a disaster as Mayor of Braddock which is poor, sad town in Pennsylvania with few prospects. It didn't get any better under the rich, trust fund baby, Fetterman. For him, it was just a stepping stone to higher office when he could push his absurd views about crime.

I don't know much about Fetterman's faults, but I have no use for snake oil con men like Oz. I'll check in to see how he stacks up otherwise.

Well, you know, when Hillary was shopping for a senate seat, she did look closely at Pennsylvania... She chose NY though since it was likely a cheaper seat to buy...

That's obvious. When you become an informed voter, perhaps you can a reasonable post.

Fetterman is so mentally impaired he can't construct a coherent sentence. He can't understand the spoken word. Last night had to depend on closed captioning to understand the questions that were posed to him. I didn't make that up. His team required it for him to accept the debate. If you like Biden, you will love Fetterman.

Before the stroke Fetterman was strongly in favor of releasing large numbers of convicted murderers from jail. He was way ahead of other Democrats. He repeatedly opposed fracking and now he's for it, although he could hardly make himself understood last night.

Yea Bodo O'Rouke is about shallow as them come. It's been all down hill for him since came to rally on his skateboard.

As for Stacy Abrams, the more I see of Ivy League graduates, at least from the undergraduate school, the less I am impressed. Back when I went to college, in the '60s, many people said you better off going to a state school than an Ivy League school because you got to learn form professors in the state institutions. The Ivy League stuck you with grad school assistants. Most of the grad school instructors I had didn't amount to much.

I'm not eligible to vote for for Fetterman or Oz. Not unless they run for President. So it isn't an "informed voter" issue. Maybe when my education becomes relevant to a vote I "can a reasonable post" regarding being an informed voter on the subject.

The way Senators and Representatives vote effects everyone in this country. So yea, knowing the issues in other states matters.

According to your logic, rich Democrats and Republicans, who live in other states, shouldn't able to pour millions of dollars into races that are not in their state. The system does not work that way.

And yet you know enough to call Oz "a snake oil salesman." I guess you care enough to have that opinion.

How can I be an "informed voter" for someone I can't vote for?

Donations and votes are two different things. The system does not work that way.

Again, that's not a fact. Mayor is a real job. So is insurance underwriter. Not sure how you can say those aren't "real" jobs. What's your job? Doesn't matter, it's not real. See how ridiculous that sounds?

As for your opinion on how well he did, well that's fine. I don't have an opinion on his job as mayor as I don't know enough about it to. As for him being a rich trust fund baby, since when does that make you not like someone? Trump Jr, Ivanka, Eric Trump, Donald Trump, many on the right, for example? And a politician using a job to get a job that requires more experience? Isn't that how everyone gets a better job...?

I think you should just change your posts to say, I hate John Fetterman, I don't agree with his politics, and I don't like the look of his face. You don't have to justify your opinions.

He literally sold fake health solutions. That has nothing to do with being an informed voter, unless you are eligible to vote for him. That has to do with being a critical thinker.
