I was just starting to comprehend politics when Clinton ran for senate in NY. Last I had hear, she was living in Illinois. It’s ultimately up to the voters, but dayum, I’d never vote for someone who only knew my state from a tourists POV.

 

At least voters can choose an actual resident of their state in almost every election. The problem here is that we have one candidate from another state and another with a health problem that people think makes it difficult to do the job.

Because of the way we treat political candidates the best and brightest don't enter politics. Politics is the most negative business we have in our society. We get those who want political power and are willing to put up with the process to achieve it. The purpose of the government should be to serve governance, not the political careers and power of those in office. Time for a single term limit for every political office.
