The morons in Congress created this crisis, and idiots voted most of the same ones right back in again earlier this month. Where's the sense in that?

To paraphrase Jon Stewart, it's like creating a giant asteroid that will destroy the planet and firing it at earth to force us to build an asteroid defense system. It's the definition of insane.

So I say: so what? They created this mess. If they won't fix it, oh well. Maybe that will be enough to get people to grow a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing brain and not vote for the ones that created it.

If conservatives with their insanely uneducated ideologically driven theories would just get out of the way of America, this country would once again become the greatest and most innovative country on earth. Unfortunately, we are driven by an old school of thought and tons of retards. I can not wait for 15-20 more years when the next generation gets in control and realizes that the 19th century is over.

Republicans are not solely at fault. Democrats were just as retarded in inventing this monster. We would not be facing this bloody crisis if the Democrats AND Republicans didn't create it.

Yeah. Some traditions and practices of the past are worthy of noting; but this 'clinging' to what WAS that many Conservatives and Republicans are obsessed with, is mostly detrimental to America.

This is about the fiscal cliff that Democrats are just as guilty for creating as Republicans.

Well, I can agree that ALL sides need to be about solutions and NOT impeding necessary and real progress.

You must be refering to that old school thought that built this country and is attempting to save it from you progressive windbags. Your Utopians programs and ideas have led us to this cliff.

I meant what I said and think it applies, regardless.

No. This cliff was 100% handcrafted by both parties. It's not the result of any policies. They invented it. If they had not literally created it, it would not be happening.

No, it is not just one side or ideology which brought us to where we are.

Even so, we need real solutions.

Yea, we aren't trying to build a country any more... we are trying to grow an incredibly advanced country. Something the 19th century did not have to worry about as they were still traveling on horseback and dying from simple diseases. Welcome to the 21st century.

It's amazing how they can't comprehend how things evolve. They still imagine the Old Wild West.

Get rid of the EPA, fry Big Bird (PBS), get rid of the special health care for Congress, kill any 'social justice' programs paid for by US, make mandatory 'tube tying' for single women who have more than 1-child from different fathers, open up all oil-drilling sites, build more refineries. That would be a start.

No it wouldn't. You don't get it. THEY INVENTED THIS, and you're suggesting giving them a pass and letting them make more bad policy (mandatory tube tying? Really? Fascist much?).

Besides, a couple million on PBS is not going to make a dent in our spending.

It's hard to move 'further forward' with progressive liberals acting as anchors wanting to return to the days of guys like Stalin.

This is about your party retardedly helping their party invent Godzilla to destroy Tokyo to force themselves to create a defense against giant lizard monsters destroying cities. Wanna comment on that?

This fiscal cliff can be over in an hour... it is the Republicans that are taking the country hostage in an attempt to save the 1%. They can solve this "asteroid" tomorrow if they wanted to.

I see (in real time) the Right and Republicans systematically 'marginalizing' themselves. And it is a slow-boil pot that Party is in.

They have stagnated intellectually and politically.

The last election was a clue, but certain die-hard extremists remain.

I have to say I hold both parties responsible. That said the individuals that view the budget process as a winner take all contest are violating their oath of office. It is long past time to put ideology aside and work towards a compromise. This silly brinksmanship serves nobody's interest.

No doubt. Things are changing. Obama won the youth vote 18-29 vote 60-40. With technology, education, and the Internet these days... young people are figuring out all this fear mongering conservative bullchit ideology needs to be stopped. It works on very uneducated minds, but people are getting smarter. They do not want to live in the 19th century again.
