As a Jew who is pro Israel I strongly disagree. Here in America we have a thing called "free speech." If you don't like another person's opinion then you have the right to disagree and tell him why you think your argument is better. I think holocaust deniers are massively wrong but I would fight to the death to protect their right to express their opinion.

 

It takes about 2 minutes to show the Holocaust is a scam...a massive scam... Start off with all the 6 million Jews dying in Holocausts and other ridiculous claims...going back to the 1800's before Hitler was born...

You are talking about a situation that no longer exists, even among Jews.

If it is one thing that WWII taught the Jews of Europe, is that sealing themselves into Ghettos does not protect them, it just makes them easier targets. Prior to WWII, in most of Europe they set themselves apart from society. They lived in their own communities, had their own language, and often times even had their own laws only for them (sound familiar in a modern context?).

But that behavior made them seen as outsiders. Even if they had lived in a community for hundreds of years, they were still outsiders. That is no longer the case, now they blend into their communities like any other group.

BTW, are you aware that one of the last ghettos was in China? Shanghai had it's own ghetto from the 19th century, and it was one of the few areas that the Japanese did not persecute the residents. In fact, they outright refused to turn the Jews living there over to the Germans during WWII.

Of course, to the Japanese all foreigners were barbarians.

 

Interesting how there have not been any posts on this thread since Trump was elected - this especially so since it has been reported that antisemitic attacks in the USA have spiked dramatically by members of the pro Trump far right.

 

After viewing your Post, I googled: "increased anti Semitism in US" and primarily found an ADL study, if you trust the ADL which doesn't seem to look to closely at anti Semitic attacks and seems to have a rather broad definition of "anti Semitic attack".

It appears that they consider bomb threats made by Jews (an Israeli) against Jews as an "anti Semitic attack".
I don't know if they also consider Jewish individuals who paint swastikas on their own houses as "anti Semitic attacks"(1)
For example, I wouldn't consider disputing the standard holocaust narrative as "anti Semitic" because people of all religions, nationalities, ethnic groups suffered persecution under the Third Reich.

Since I view all individuals as equal, I don't consider the death of an individual any more profound because of his/her ethnicity or religious background.
The Wiesenthal Center, however, feels differently & opposes a Ukrainian Bill that criminalizes holodomor denial because it "...cheapens the memory of Nazi victims."(2) which I feel is repulsively racist.
