The homicide rate in Australia was steadily declining prior to their gun bans and continued the same trend after the gun bans.

The gun bans had no impact on the steady decline in the Australian homicide rate.

    Try to keep up.

    Try to keep up that:
It can be done and that having a need for a gun for self defense is a fallacy.
And for all you know... it would have stagnated at the level of 1996 when they made the ban.

you can also prove the US has far more guns and also far more homicides than other countries, also far more people in jail as well.

Tell that to the 90 pound woman who was attacked/raped by a 250 pound man.

The gun is the great equalizer.

Self defense is not a fallacy
And for all you know...allowing Australians to legally conceal carry for self defense might have seen a faster decline in the homicide rate.

    Australia proves you wrong.

All we do know... that it went down with firm gun control regulations.

Which... you buy in a shop.
Which you can't make for yourself.

And without which, your gun doesn't do much..

Explain why felons who aren't permitted to have firearms still have firearms.

    Wrong.

Zero correlation between firearm ownership and homicides in any country.

Really, Nice France 2016 Truck used in the deaths of 86 people and the injury of 458 others, ask them if it was less lethal than a gun.

The violent crime rate and murder rate has been steadily declining in the United States since the early nineties and the number of people legally carrying concealed weapons has been steadily increasing since the 80's.

So, Australia hasn't proved a damn thing.

Here, watch how the number of states allowing CCW permits has grown over the years...

Drugs are a "state controllable commodity", yet you can buy black market illegal drugs on any street corner and in any neighborhood.

    Ammo is state controlled.
Factories are few and easy to police.
I'm not aware of any great deluge of blackmarket ammunition on the streets of America.

That's because it's not banned yet.

If you ban guns/ammo, they will become a HUGE blackmarket commodity.

How do you describe "less lethal"? Amount of damage done by one item? I can go until my body gives out stabbing people. I can go on till my car runs out of gas. A gun will break if you are trying to reach half the level of the killing power of a single knife or car. Look at the 2016 Nice Truck attack. Many injured and killed in far less time than the Mandalay bay shooter.

Nice truck attack: 89 dead, 458 injured. - ONLY 1 Vehicle.
Mandalay bay shooting: 59 dead, 500+ injured. - Many guns used.

The ratio seems to indicate the truck IS more lethal.
