Russians are more connected than they were 80 years ago. Very soon a lot of Russians will personally know someone who died or was mutilated by the war in Ukraine.

 

Well, the Russians are using mercenaries now, to do some of the dirtier work.

 

I've made my point, you simply can't handle the point, not my concern however. Trump discredited and weakened NATO whining loudly, doing the dirty work for Putin as was expected of him. Pretty sure Putin waited hoping Trump would get a second term and then would ultimately support his move to take Ukraine.

That's an oversimplification. Trump wanted the other European allies to pay a larger share of the money.
He could only push them to do this by reducing the amount of money America would provide.

Other European countries don't want to do this because it means they will have to reduce their social spending schemes (like providing government-paid medical care).

It's kind of ironic because most of those on the Left complain America spends too much on military spending. But here you are, apparently trying to disparage Trump because he didn't spend enough.

 

And they are paying on the exact timeline that the Obama Admin laid out before leaving office. Trump just whined about it and took credit, the schedule was already set by the Obama Admin and NATO countries and did not change.
It's 2% of GDP for all member nations.

America would be in a better military and financial position if it were not in so much debt. Everyone knows this.

It's long been predicted that America's financial state of affairs will eventually prevent the country from intervening in other parts of the world like it has in the past.

You are deflecting away from the original post of mine that you quote. You still have not addressed my original post you edited in it's full context. All Trump did was undermine NATO, and the other NATO nations are still following the exact payment schedule set out by the Obama Admin that Trump tried to take credit for.

You can't get anything for free.
If you spend money one place, you can't spend it somewhere else. If you promise people money and then don't pay them, it will have future consequences. If you just print money, it will result in inflation.
You ask "by whom?" The answer is by people. Those pesky old people aren't going to like the government not giving that money that they were promised, with government bonds making up a large fraction of their pension.
