Interesting that FOX chooses to post the entire video depicting a heinous terrorist murder.

While some believe that this is "honest" reporting others claim it is deliberate sensationalism while still others claim they are ISIL beeawtch for doing exactly what they wanted to have done with the video.

Personally, I believe that being so highly selective on what they are willing to show to their audience is a tad hypocritical. Do show the dead bodies and human parts of American soldiers killed by Islamist ********s? do they show the dead bodies of victims of mall/school shootings?

I believe the real issues here are how far to go in broadcasting "the gory details" and at what point does such broadcasting fulfill the perpetrators objectives.

 

ALL media outlets are highly selective about what they will and will not show their audience, Jonsa. FNC is no better or worse than ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, etc.

What is stupid is thinking that US troops alone is going to solve this issue, let alone, the time, money and strain on our troops. Add the fact that you keep leaving out that US troops are not wanted there is the elephant in the room.

Every movement has a moment / image that either defines or changes the worlds perception of it. I think the Jordanian Pilot's immolation at the hands of ISIL is one of those moments.

I think their action in the method, production of the video and it's broadcast might be a fatal mistake, let them reap the repercussions. Let us exploit the mistake.

I wonder if people who are complaining about this, would also have complained about the images we got out of Vietnam during that conflict. I once thought that people were genuinely interested in seeing the world as it was if they choose to stomach such horrible images. It seems though instead of that, what they are interested in in how a message is being shown, and that image this time is the barbarity of the Islamist.

Naked, scared, and frightened Vietnamese children running away from America's bombs was a good picture because it was against the Untied States, and showed the reality of the war.

The barbaric act by a group of savages who burn alive a Muslim hero from a foreign nation, against all aspects of the international rules of war, is called a negative and sensationalism. Despite the fact that is also shows the reality of the war that is being waged.

As normal the left is more worried about the message then about the reality. What I don't understand is how some elements of the American Left is so terrified about this. Here is a clear example of Islamist doing savage things against a fellow Muslim, and some on the American Left are terrified they the Islamist are being shown in a negative light.....

It would be like having fear of showing film of the aftermath of the Holocaust, because it shows the Germans in a bad light. Not understanding that what it shows in a bad light are the National Socialist Germans, who killed their fellow German Jews because they had Jewish blood in their genetic history. The National Socialist killed there fellow German's because Jewish German's weren't their kind of Germans.

Likewise these Islamist are killing Muslims, because they are not their kind of Muslims. The West specifically and the world in general should see this realility for what it is, and when words fail us, the images of the reality as it was like this should be shown.

I've looked at some pretty stomach turning stuff because of Islamic terrorist. Images I will never get out of my mind, not because I want to but because I have to. We must understand the lengths these animals will go to so we can truly understand the threat we face.

I think Fox posting the video online is geared toward that end. Sure they will probably make a little money from web traffic in the process but it must be made available for people.

 

No surprise that liberals are complaining. Liberals love censorship.

 

This video is the beginning of the end of ISIS. Maybe FOX recognized that, maybe not. Jordan is going all out. More will follow their lead. Japan should get in the game considering their recent experience.

ISIS is holding hostages from many countries, including an American female from California. Maybe even Obama will follow Jordan since he's incapable of leading.

 

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next year with that regards. I'm interested to see what Turkey does myself. Japan is interesting on it's own, but I doubt they will have much of a direct impact. Still it will be interesting to see what they do if nothing else to watch their own internal debates.

And you do you know you had to go through hoops to get to it with all the warnings it was uncut and graphic and disturbing?

Why should it have been censored from public view to anyone who wanted to view it?
