Better? Really? Based on what? I always say Trump is insane, I believe they think the same. You can't deal with a madman.

Better for us....they are paying more towards their defense, less depended on us. South Korea and Japan are thrilled to have NK engaged now, thanks to us. Great stuff

The left has and continues trying to curtail free speech. How, you ask? By attacking people who wear MAGA hats, boycotting their businesses, and doing whatever it takes to shut down conservative speech. When that doesn't work, you describe what you hate as hate speech and use that as an excuse to shut down whatever you guys think needs to be shut down. And if you want to say that the 1A pertains to what the government can do to you, then Holder and Lynch promised to prosecute what they considered to be hate speech.

ANY kind of gun restriction is a civil rights violation. While some common sense needs to be put in place regarding guns, that common sense is literally a violation of the 2A.

Then they really weren’t are friends if they aren’t gonna honor their pledge to increase their own defense funding

If you are willing to let folks rip you off and you have a lot of resources, you will be surrounded by "friends" who will lavish affection on you for as long as you keep letting them rip you off.

How many such incidents have there been? A handful? So please tell me how you can generalize that to “the left” — especially because you generally seem to define “the left” as basically all Democrats, or anyone who voted for Hillary. Which amounts to half the country.

That is probably the most lame and worthless attempt to divert that I have seen in a long long time.

I think he should decline to attend these political theatrics. He should send the Secy of State. I would recommend not having them in the U.S. as well.

Hey, if the US wants to project power around the world and use other country's land for air and naval bases, then the US has to pay for it, not the other country. If the US wants to spend as much on defense as the next 20 largest spenders combined, that's the US's business, not the other country's fault. How hard is that to understand?

These are mostly economic events, so in theory, you'd probably send the Sec Treas, but since he's in clear violation of federal law, maybe that's not a great idea either...

Pompeo is the only clear non embarrassment of this administration ..

If they don't want out troops to protect their countries, we will bring them home, to the shock and horror of the interventionist Left.

President Trump Wants Allies to Pay Full Cost of Hosting U.S. Troops Abroad 'Plus 50%'

“Wealthy, wealthy countries that we’re protecting are all under notice,” Trump said in a speech at the Pentagon on Jan. 17. “We cannot be the fools for others.”

Trump has been musing about the idea that countries should pay the full cost, plus a premium, since taking office. His ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, said it’s all about making sure other countries have “skin in the game.”

“If you have countries which clearly can afford to do it and are not doing it because they think we’ll just step in and do it for them, the president has a problem with that,” he said in an interview.
    Next 11, maybe.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_military_expenditures#Spending_by_GDP

It's their choice, if they don't want our troops there, they can simply refuse to pay the bill.
An sovereign nation making their choice about whether or not to house US troops, how hard is that to understand?

Do you like the US to be a squatter? Because that's what people are called who use other people's land without paying rent.

Of course, in Trump reality land, nothing is surprising.

Second, you can forget about war with Iran, which Trump seems to be itching for, without the use of foreign bases.

Really. We should just close those bases and bring everyone home. They don't add anything to European economies.

Saying that those who do not agree with Trump’s approach regarding foreign affairs are “the left” and that they “hate America” is pure drivel. At any time in recent history one side of the political spectrum has usually vehemently disagreed with the party in power’s policies. To sugggest that those not in power America is infantile and idiotic. See what I mean?

well, I can only speak from the UK, but why not take US army bases out of here? then take all of the US army bases littering Europe - everyone gets to go home back to the good 'ole US of A and can all help extend your wall - build it right around the border of your country and leave us all alone :)

Your troops are not protecting anybody. They are there to project American power around the globe and benefit American corporate interests. They also are there to destabilize countries America has made enemies of such as Russia, China, Iran and Syria.

Why should your allies pay for your military bases again?

Ok. Let’s not say half of the U.S. *hates* the U.S. That may be a little strong.

We can say half of the U.S. experiences schadenfreude when the U.S. struggles or fails.

I believe that even the most delusional and ardent Trump fans do not hate America. In my opinion they have been led astray by an excellent con man who has had a lot of help from some first rate propaganda outlets. Conversely, most of those who are against Trump (55% of the population) are not “the left” nor do they hate America. They simply are convinced that Trump and his policies are not good for America and do not represent our country’s values.
