    1. I'm not running. Paulobots and Libertarians seem to have very great difficulty in knowing who is running. Here's a clue. obama and Romney are running for president. ANY other names are comedic bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

    2. I'm entitled to my vote.

    3. I'm FREE to speak my mind about the wasted votes of naive idiots. Naive idiots wandering uselessly in some Don Quixote wasteland of dreams.

please give me a break.Till Bush came along he was the most evil and corrupt president there ever was.He signed NAFTA which took away millions of jobs from us,something that we are still paying for today.thats just one of MANY cimes he committed against the american people.

Each president that gets in office is always worse than the previous one.we will never be a free country again till we get rid of this corrupt two party system.

I'm an American. I'd be very happy is we never HAD to buy or sell anything outside the USA. However, I'm also actually in touch with reality. Which means I realize we live in a global society and a global market.

We have to DEAL with the rest of the world. THERE IS NO CHOICE. Isolationism is stupidity. We would be FAR better off supporting our companies and industries than demonizing them.

And what, pray tell, is your INTELLIGENT replacement for, "this corrupt two party system?"

    To do that,
we will need to replace our plurality voting system,
and reform our campaign finance laws.
Unfortunately hardly anyone seems interested in talking about that at this point

It should be noted that it is not the necessarily the two parties that need to be replaced, rather its the election system which enable the two party system to exist,
namely the plurality method, of which there are plenty of better alternatives, including instant run-off and ranked pairs.
Fix, the election system, and then it will be through that improved system that the people will decide what they want and deserve,
and it will be through that system that the parties will either morph to follow suit or be cast out as obsolete.

Ban private money in Federal campaigns, and force all lobbying onto the public record.

We would wake up in a different country tomorrow. Sad most people want to argue over pro-wrestling, when the answers are so clear,

    I've always respected Gary Johnson.

His support for a woman controlling her womb up until the point of viability, gender-free equality in marriage, and revoking the government's right to kill people in cold blood makes him a genuine libertarian, but he has no futute in the GOP unless he abandons those principles.

Americans will never elect a pure libertarian.

With all due respect, I seriously hope you are 100% wrong, for all of our sake.

The problem, I think, is the fact that our ideals aren't normally put on full display. Ron Paul was the closest thing to a full libertarian in the Republican party, Rand Paul still holds more Conservative leaning principles than libertarian. As such, when you hear reports of 'The GOP is taking on more of libertarian role', no their not. They're trying to find ways to win votes and the libertarian movement is growing. So they want to jump onto this bandwagon and ride it out. They tried to ride the Tea Party, but they are full of 1%'s and heavily on the 'Occupy' movement. They've gotten completely destroyed by it.

I firmly believe that if we can get a libertarian candidate on any debate (Locally, state, or nationally), people will come to understand that our ideals align exactly how they feel. The problem is, it's to the point where both parties are leaning to the left so hard that it feels like we're about to tip over at any point. There is a need & a void that should be filled. I firmly believe we need a 3rd party among the major 2 in all of the debates. When that time comes, we'll begin to see a shift in direction for this country.

I was mildly surprised that a third party did not arise in 2008 or 2012. Perhaps, if the TPs had not been hijacked by the evangelicals - but the odds are heavily stacked against the formation of another party by the duopoly.

No "pure" ideology is likely to transfer from theory to application without serious accommodations. Pragmatism will continue to prevail, and true believers will have to content themselves with utopian fantasies and modest progress in the real world, but Gary Johnson is a serious voice that I hope continues to be heard.

Maybe libertarian interests within the GOP can, at lest, quash the element that wants to cast the State as an intrusive morals dictator. Younger Americans find that aspect of GOP politics especially repulsive. In that respect, Johnson's time might yet come.

The Republicans are naturally more vocal against the libertarian leaders because they are posing a threat to a cohesive party of the right. They can't be a sensible conservative force as long as the baggers and libertarians (mostly the same thing) are spouting off withe craziness and tarnishing the real conservative brand.

The Dems on the other hand only face the threat of losing some of their fringe to the bagger movement and so know that being too critical of the tea partiers is not in their best interests. Let the Republicans deal with them and alienate them and then catch the flakes as they fall off the GOP. Even having said that, there is little doubt that the left has it's fun with mocking the baggers and their extremism from time to time. Only when Rand Paul and the others say something so stupid that they can fill air time on MSNBC with it. For instance, Rand Paul's comments on supporting abortion was just too good for them to pass up. There's no danger in picking up on that kind of waffling.

The baggers and libertarians pose a threat to the GOP inasmuch as they are divisive.
The baggers and libs pose no threat to the Dems because the Dems know they will never rise to be any threat of forming a mainstream party.

But don't tell the libertarians and the baggers, they just get upset and go on another of their racist tirades.

How are libertarians and the Tea party "mostly the same thing"? You have an organization that have a near clear set of directions in which they go into and then you have a political ideology that could range from economic left or right beliefs or quite possibly a range of social issues as well. Labeling them as mostly the same is quite foolish.

People such as yourself mock them because it's easy to insult someone than it is to have an actual debate. You're not on these forums for a discussion of different opinion you're purely here to insult those who do not follow your beliefs.

They pose a threat to the entire system. For a while now it was purely Democrats = Republicans for decades... Now we're finally seeing some different people in power who aren't going along with the Corporate/Banker tyranny. Obviously your continued hatred towards the specified groups tells us a lot as to what you believe Government should encompass by quite a degree.

Racism is found in every group. You provide nothing worthy of debating because your logic is filled with holes.

Have it as you wish, there's not enough incentive in it for me to get excited about. The simple fact is, if he's a libertarian then chances are he's a bagger too. And if not then is confused as to the real agenda of both.
Both leaning rather noticably and markedly toward racism and hating.

Debate with them is futile. But I'm a Canadian and I can mock them from an objective position because I don't have a horse in the race. They deserve nothing better than insults. And furthermore, the sooner they come to the understanding that they have been hijacked by the right, the better. Then they would know what direction they are lacking and be able to rise up against their real enemies such as the Koch brothers and company.

Simply put, you've been snookered. They have caused you to lose your direction and they have redirected your energies which should be centered on fixing the wafflers in the Dem party. They have you supporting a faction that is a faction of their agenda. Libertarian and bagger are their ideals but you don't get it yet.

Racism is indeed found in all political persuasions but that doesn't eliminate the clear facts that it smells a lot stronger amongst baggers and libertarians. They openly and proudly proclaim it with the signs they carry at their demonstrations. And those who claim to be guilt free aren't renouncing it. They willingly march right along beside it.

    Prove it.

It goes well beyond the Koch brothers and they have been hijacked by some portions. Yet.. you're labeling libertarians and the Tea Party as the same thing which is completely illogical.

The problems the Democratic party creates are the same problems the Republican party creates. There is no difference between the status quo parties.

You have no proof beyond your opinion on the matter.

I swear to god monty, you seem to think the people who are trying to preserve your right to say such stupid things are trying to get you. What has ever indicated libertarians are racists? By definition, we are the complete opposite, you cannot be libertarian and be racist. We are not "crazy", we just oppose some of the things that either the general masses have been manipulated into defending to the death or that they genuinely want to keep no matter what, namely their impossible-to-fund welfare and unnecessarily-large military.

Both Rand Paul and his father were substantially shown to support racism. If you support that kind of trash then you effectively brand your libertarian agenda as racist. And if you're racist then the similarity to the **********s is unmistakable. They wave their racist signs and flaunt it. You only support it in your support of your choices in candidates.

I have nothing I need to prove. You on the other hand need to disprove the connection. Or don't bother, whatever pleases you.

Ron Paul with the racist newsletters. Look it up.
    Rand Paul here: http://www.capitolhillblue.com/node/27155

I have no incentive in pursuing this any further with you. But I would suggest that you reanalyze the whole situation and come to the conclusion on whether or not your country has gone far enough into the depravity of racist for you to be openly honest about it. You have people such as El diablo who are open about it and he may be in the majority by now. It's a possibility! And when one doesn't stand agin it then we can conclude that they're with it!

Go for it. There's no mistaking the baggers are if you look at the signs they are carrying.

Like I said Libertarians and Ron Paul supporters, Monty is the paid Republican establishment shill here, meant to demonize what you are.

The RNC thinks so little of you, and what you believe they pay people to disparage it.

Next time you think of pulling that lever for someone with a R next to their name, remember Monty here!

If you're an ordinary jow american, next time you think of pulling a lever for the republican creeps who have snookered you, think!

I tell my fellow Canadians the same thing when I lecture them about the evils of the creeps who call themselves Conservatives in Canada. You're being snookered by the rabid, frothing at the mouth righties.

Much merit in what you say. I would suggest that the post-debacle GOP is, much like Roman-vanquished Gaul, divided into three parts: establishmentarian libertarian, and theocratic. Since the establishment is the most pragmatic (or least principled) it will persist in paying forked-tongue lip service to the latter factions to lead them by their out-of-joint noses, whilst serving the agenda of the wealth elite and business interests. Meanwhile, Democrats will continue to play the demographics, a tough hand to beat.

I know Natty, there have to be lots of ordinary Americans who can see right through this phony sh!t of libertarianism, racism, establishment support, etc. They have to, they're not stupid people for the most part, or at least no more stupid than we Canadians. And as long as the establishment right can keep the other wackos under control they will lead them by their noses. But I'm not so sure it's going to last indefinitely because the factions threaten a fractionalizing of the GOP now. In your last election at least, it wasn't uniting.

We've seen the same thing in Canada and that may be giving me a heads-up. It could do the same for you if you want to take the time to analyze what happened. Our Progressive Conservative government was literally destroyed in the 93 election and what rose out of that was a rightist movement known as the Reform party. The trouble with that movement was that it was a marriage made in hell of the right establishment, the extremist righties, the libertarians, the racists, the extreme lefties and other bits and pieces. They all hated each other's ideologies and just couldn't get along.

After about 4 years, the challenge came from within and the establishment right won out. That meant that the rest of the rabble was banished and the new Conservative party of Canada was established. In other words, they found the solution to their destructive inner problems. I suspect that something similar has got to happen with the GOP. But who knows what faction will triumph? I suspect the establishment will because the other factions are too divided to ever be a cohesive force. Plus the fact that their agendas really do smell so bad from different perspectives.

Will it happen before the 2016 election? I suspect that it will or the Dems will win bigtime. That kind of mess the Repubs have now found themselves in is simply doomed to failure.

As opposed to being snookered by the liberals.

Keep rooting for the hulkster vs. macho man at wrestle mania!

Edit: Monty, why don't you tell me about some of the platforms that you support that make you a liberal?
