IF you watch those ambulance-chaser ads from the attorneys... A typical one says something like "The ingredients in Round UP may cause cancer- How can they do this to me?"
They don't have proof it is the cause- yet they find juries they can convince to give them money anyway. Guilt is applied to deep pockets- the poor aren't guilty, because they don't have money- there,s no profit in that, so they look upstream to manufacturers. Lawyers don't need proof anymore. They just need a jury that want to blame big companies for everything, to feel they are doing something "just".
Why? ONE reason- the lawyers get half the money.

Did you ever read the instructions on the labels of Round Up, or any of the many herbicides made with similar ingredients? They aren't vague, they are extremely clear in warning you that the product is toxic, that you must not get it on your skin, that if you do you need to immediately wash it thoroughly, that you must not breath in the vapors of mist if you spray it, that you should never spray in windy conditions- and much more. One thing that should have added in a form that would apply at the moment of purchase-
Is that If you are an F'ing idiot that doesn't bother to read or pay attention to warning labels, you must not buy this product at all.

And farmers are not owned or controlled by Monsanto, and you know that too- or should. However, IF they do buy Monsantos engineered seed, they do sign an agreement as to how it can be used. For example, they cannot save a portion of their wheat or corn from the crop to use as seed in the future. However they are free to use some other type of seed. This is like a patent or copyright, preserving the benefit resulting from all the time and expense of developing that seed, preventing it from being bought once and used or given away indefinitely.

You would be wise to educate yourself on things in more depth before you jump to conclusions based on the reports of whiners and lawyers who would sue their mothers for a buck.

Thing about corn is that its pollen is carried on the wind, and on the legs of insects. Thus their corn's DNA has crossbred with other strains, allowing Monsanto to assess royalties to corn seeds not from Monsanto.

Funny my daughter didn't have to get a shot for any of her four kids including the one born a year ago this past February. The "science" upon which the round up law suit is based is unconscionably vague and has far more to do with the insane hatred of Monsanto in Europe than anything to do with the product itself. Monsanto's insistence that seeds can't be kept for future planting wasn't original with Monsanto. It had to do with an agreement with the European Union in order to prevent possible cross pollination between Monsanto GMO's and other hybrids. To date I am wholly unaware of any decent study indicating any significant harm from GMO'S to anyone beyond that found in non GMO foods. Is if you have a gluten allergy, about 1 in a million or so if you are of European ancestry, then that allergy occurs whether the wheat is one more than a dozen different hybrids or GMO. I do know of millions of people saved from debilitating diseases by GMO'S.

Seriously- you should read the labels on this stuff. I've used it, have a life-long farmer friend who has too. Many things ARE potentially dangerous to use, and we see elaborate warnings and instructions on most of them- which the majority of people not only ignore, they don't even read. The lawyers response to that is that the manufacturer should have known their product would be used by such people, and so should have taken greater steps to protect them from themselves.

Nature on the other hand says that if you are too stupid or lazy to protect yourself, the world is better off without you. We don't listen to nature, because we are smarter- and the lawyers can't profit from the rules that make nature work.

Their is some risk in everything new, and of course some benefits. We don't always know the risks, because some don't expose themselves for long periods of time.

Take these drugs the lawyers are profiting from. Some think they are just rushed through to make money. Read this:

Literally be the only player in town.They used that approach for more
than a decade.Which worked when Farmers died out and Their Farms
had to take the hit with Estate Taxes.The Farm could not survive when
Grandpa died and there were estate taxes and then the 2008 Banking
crisis hit.Bankers were denying Farmers their annual loans for stuff like
feed,seed,supplies and equipment repair.So Monsanto took advantage
and saw an opportuinity to exploit their product.Which was GMO.
Farmers who had surplus supply of older seed were threatened by
having their neighbor Farm bought out from under them and then before
you knew it Many Farms were taken over.
Same damn thing that happened during the Dust Bowl years { 1930's}
Year after year of extreme drought where high winds were blowing away
what little top soil existed.Then the bankers came in to Foreclose because
Farms could no longer plant due to severe drought conditions.The Bankers
just as soon Bulldoze down the Farms in order to keep squatters away.
Laws were enacted to arrest squatters.Even squatters from their own
Farm.
