Notice how I keep disputing the first part of your claim, and you keep running to argue the second part of your claim. You claim

Lets see your evidence. Since you refuse, lets see evidence of this law enacted in the 70s that you believe for the first time prohibited same sex marriage.

post for us the law or court precident before the 1970's which excluded same sex marriage. we've done this dance many times before dixon, and you've lost every time.

keep stomping away though, maybe THIS time, reality will change for you.

53% of the US supports gay marriage, as reported by the latest polls.

The majority of americans disagree with you.

Opinion of gay judge has nothing to with marriage. It was about animus against gays.
His opinion was that gays can do anything they want as long as there animus against them.

Sooooo to summarize, you have no evidence of same sex marriage in the US before the 70s, and no evidence of this law in the 70s that for the first time prohibited same sex marriage. All aspects of your claim are baseless.

Yes. But it's not discrimination against gays, it's discrimination against the individual. Gays just so happen to care more.

Correct. I disagree that it is the job of the government to institute this form of morality, whether it's religiously motivated or not, to encourage people to get married so that they can receive some form of privileges that unmarried couples cannot.

Sure, gays can still get married, but they have to marry someone of the opposite sex if they want to receive the benefits of being married. AKA the big income tax break. Of course, I am of the belief that this is a moot point because the income tax needs to be abolished anyway.

The Bible says a lot of stuff about the way societies ought to be, that are completely un-American.
