A little before my time so I cannot honestly say I remember him. But this does bring to mind how much more popular motorcycle racing was in the USA in the past. The skill involved in it is far greater than automobile racing and it deserves to be more popular for that reason. Hopefully, some day motogp will go right to the top among the USA's most popular sports.
