People wont see reality, and God love them! I truly believe those folks are beside themselves with fear, and there is no shame in it, just sorrow. I have never meet people this afraid of dying or becoming sick which ever the case.. The sad reality is BOTH are considered illnesses!

 

Also, who else noticed that Georgia also has one of the lowest DEATH RATES from covid19?

NONSENSE How do you burden a scientist with treatment They have their target virus and that's all they need, the sick and dying and survivors may hold essential information for all you know!

 

There's a middle ground that we can reach, and it's that middle ground that we need to try and find. My proposal, has been to allow "groups" of individuals out(similar to how ant/bee colonies act.). One group is in the economy until that group becomes unhealthy, then they be quarantined/isolated and we pull out another group of people, and so on.

I think doing a controlled exposure, is better then an all-out exposure, and a controlled exposure is better than the lockdowns.

Obama happen to come into office during an economic downturn caused by a financial crisis. He only continued the Bush policies and is credited with an up turn that would have happened anyway.

Today's economy is in crisis because of a Chinese pandemic. Trump had nothing to do with it but has handled it quite well.

 

The people didn't panic during the H1N1 pandemic because Obama had a cool and calm demeanor, people (on average) trusted the government more to handle the problem.

After three years of Trump gleefully denigrating the government, science and the medical profession, why are you surprised that
people panicked and didn't trust officials to handle the crisis. Trump's own management style turned around and bit him in the ass.

Numbers are numbers - Trump will end his first term with higher unemployment than Obama ever had, $7 trillion added to the debt, and a technical recession with GDP in the negative growth range.

Obama had to deal with a pandemic that he didn't create, a recession that existed before he took office, and two wars that
he didn't start ... yet we didn't have to stand in line to buy toilet paper.

Trump didn't start this pandemic, but he brought the circus to town that screwed up the response to the pandemic. That's all on him.

been available for more than a few hours at a time for three weeks now
