let me see.. Who do you think grew the vegetables for the plantation?? Do you think that the master ate his fill and burned the rest of the yams, corn, beans, etc.? On the grounds of Thomas Jefferson's property we have found evidence that some of his slaves had the use of fire arms - presumably for hunting . We know that many slaves were allowed to hunt and fish for the plantation.

As to the family; we know that many of the plantations tried to keep the families together for the sake of productivity if not out of compassion. But we also know that many young Black kids today have no idea who their fathers are and that goes for the Blacks in Africa as well so the idea of separating the kids from their mothers and fathers was cruel is bogus because our streets are full of throwaway kids. In our large cities the absent father could care less when the Black mother puts his kids on the street to fend for themselves so that her new boy friend won't beat the boys and rape the girls.

How proud the liberal horde must be to have these people making policy for the future of our nation.

I mean, logic should tell you that the entire slave trade featured family severance pretty much as a universal prerequisite. Do you think all the slaves were single in Africa? But speaking for myself I wonder if some black individuals as opposed to the whole group might have had a better life as a slave than they have now.

Um, the principles I argued were about the federal govt taking land for no good reason, and otherwise harassing an individual for no good reason. The govt or media never showed me anything that sounded remotely like a legitimate govt interest in what they are doing out there in the Nevada desert.

So my argument remains the same, whether it is the govt should show a legitimate (or maybe even compelling) interest before taking an individual's property OR the govt should show a legitimate (or maybe even compelling) interest before taking a racist individual's property.

Confiscating land that belongs to the taxpayer as if it were one's own and using that taxpayer's land for personal gain without reimbursing the taxpayer for its use is theft.
