That is a fascinating argument. Do you know the source? I assume a philosopher?
The beginning may have been one thing changing forms into another as opposed to existence popping up where previously nothing existed. Causality is currently unknown.
If there is nothing you would not have asked this question. This response does not exist.
Comment je vous garde tous dans mon coeur .. Si merveilleux!
Sois parti! Je ne peux plus te retenir. Je serai libre! Libre! Libre!
Wrong. Agnostics do not take a position on the existence of God because they claim not to know for sure. Athiests say there definitely is no God. New Athiests say there is no God and ridicule those who do believe. Note the difference?
Okay little Doomy, guess what.
I AM an agnostic Atheist and I will guarantee you I know my mind better than you ever will. DO NOT tell me I am wrong about something I live and you have absolutely no idea about( as is clear from your ignorant commentary). I certainly do not pretend to know your God or what you think about it and would appreciate you providing the same courtesy.
Or is that not a Christian thing to do?
How do we know that everything in our universe must have a cause? I mean, if we bend the rules for God, why couldn't we bend them for anything else?
You are either atheist or agnostic. Pick one.
The rules do not apply to God. Once again, you are talking about the physical universe we live in and the laws of this existence. Science does not even know all there is to know about our existence, therefore, science is not qualified to answer the question of God's existence.
I am both...I leave open possibility but am absolutely sure every single one of the thingys we humans created and wrote about is false. That pretty much defines an Atheist who is Agnostic.
Now...if you do not wish to extend the courtesy I do to you.....You no longer have the right to play the persecution complex card and whine that everyone is attacking your happy little sky fairy.
OK, explain it for us.
You are not both. Apparently you do not know the definition of each.
Given we exist, I think the only explanation that makes sense is the Universe (time/space/matter/energy) is eternal and has always existed in one form or the other.
Have A Nice Day
Thanks for accepting your defeat.
The new Athiests are bitter and angry bigots. They just hate religion, Christians in particular. They have no standing when they claim "God does not exist." Truth is they do not know. That is an honest position. But when one relies on scientific evidence for proof, one knows science cannot provide it. They know this so they can choose to believe whatever they want so they can do whatever they want. This is the reason they do it. It is intellectually dishonest.
I would say you can be a theist and not bash infidels too... heck I would be happy if all theists did was bash infidels rather then kill or torture them
fact is, any religion that tries to push their religion on people in a political sense will get push-back on a political board
Oh so your excuse for being bigoted toward religion is "they started it".....how mature *sarcasm*.
no reason to lie about posters just cause they do not believe in a sky fairy, I have no issues with Christians, only with ones that try to use the government to force their religion on others or kill\harm others in the name of their religion - and that goes for ANY religion
Who does that? I see the left trying to force its beliefs on others. I do not see Christians doing that.
When I say everything, I mean everything, not "everything science has considered". If the rules do not apply to God, then they are not rules, and we'd have to pin down the exact conditions for when they apply.
Insofar that the argument I have made here applies "only to the physical universe...", then the cosmological argument also only applies to only the physical universe, and at that point, it's not much of an argument any more.
