I am aware that they are an old European banking family about which there are a lot of conspiracy theories. I'm also aware that Wilbur Ross (Trump's Secretary of Commerce) worked for their NY Branch sometime ago and may have introduced one of the Deutsche Bank executives in NY to Trump. And, that Ross bought controlling interest in the Bank of Cyprus (a bank known for laundering money for the Russian oligarchs) and hired the Deutsche Bank retired CEO (Josef Ackermann, a Swiss banker)as co-Chairman of the Bank of Cyprus. Ross left the bank when he became Secretary of Commerce and was replaced by a Russian oligarch as co-Chairman along with Ackermann. Don't know if Ackermann is still there. Ross is raising around $350 million for a new start-up investment company (maybe he'll buy the Trump Organization?). And...Ackermann was (or still is) head of the Steering Committee for the Bilderburg Group...another WEF type group...composed of leading Europeans and North Americans...based in The Netherlands and subject of other various conspiracy theories. But, that's about it. Always wondered why the Trump conspiracy theorists ignored them.

Yeah...apparently the Catholic Church at one time prohibited loaning money with interest charges. Wasn't a problem for people of the Jewish faith. Suppose you could say that from a certain perspective Christianity was necessary for market expansion. Isn't there part of the Bible that talks about Jesus throwing out money lenders/changers from the temple? Sort of reminds me of giving our industry away to China, et al. No, there is no question about who is a jew. Israel is quite clear on the subject of who is a jew. Every rabbi I've ever met sure had a crystal clear idea. As to rightful ownership of the land, what does who is a jew have to do with that? How do you know these archives exist and what is in them.

 

Islam also has a prohibition on usury which still exists. So, Jews had a similar advantage in Muslim societies. This was one among a number of reasons that made it easier for Jews to move between Christian & Muslim worlds for centuries. Of course, the down side was periodic oppression & expulsion.
