I'm sure there are pockets of Republicans at state and local levels who saw the events of the last election and realized it wouldn't be that hard to steal an election as long as you do so under the cover of investigating and mitigating the alleged voter fraud of the other side. I suspect this will be attempted a few times in 2024, possibly even during this years midterms. It's hard to say if anything will happen this year. On one hand, you might get these types of folks eager to test their new methods. But on the other hand, they might be hesitant to show their hand before the presidential election year.

Just how much, if any, of this we see in 2024 will be dependent on how the election goes. If they don't need to utilize election theft by legislation or decree they won't. It's a big move that brings a lot of heat. But 2020 showed us that the heat isn't as much as you would think as long as you live in the right states.

The meme has always been that it's the Democrats doing all the voter fraud. Will zealot right-wing legislative bodies show us they don't want to be left out of the meme party in the next few elections? I suspect there will be a small handful who will if the election isn't going the way they want.
