Group of armed demonstrators enter Stone Mountain Park

Anyone who is upset about this, just imagine they are white and smashing their way into a state legislature because they can't go fishing or get a haircut. Then you can just pretend it hasn't happened....or perhaps even cheer and call those opposing them 'Nazis'.

45:25 in-I wouldn't describe that as pretty chill. Surrounding a motorist, demanding reparations, and then telling him to keep going before he loses his life is "pretty chill".

An hour of foootage and the worst thing you can dig up is a brief bit of verbal jousting with some guy who wants to be a smartass to a bunch of people with guns. And then they just keep walking, as does everyone else in the group. Nothing happens to Bubba.

You must have been screaming for the military to get called in when those armed right wing white folks smashed their way into the Michigan Legislature in a clear threat to those inside. Oh, wait. I just read that sentence back. Of course you didn't call for the military. Silly me. They were 'citizens exercising their rights peacefully'. It says so right there in the middle of the sentence.

I didn't see any 'demand' for reparations or 'threatenning' in the videos.

Their general demeanor seemed a bit over the top, but I didn't see any laws broken. In the beginning of the first video, the coordinator stated 'do not point your weapon at anyone unless they point one at you' (or something to that effect) and from what I saw, they stuck to that.

Its worth noting that had this been white people, it would be WW3 in the media. I guess the establishment is fine with minorities exercising their 2A. At least someone can...

Which is what this was. Lawful (albeit overly dramatic) exercising of 1A and 2A rights.

This was clearly meant to be antagonistic. If they were trying to antagonize armed conflict, we should all take it as a positive sign that they failed.

Ultimately, I'm glad to see so many armed black people. I'll wager none of them vote to restrict firearms. At the end of day, thats a win for America and Freedom.

 

I just think its important to show what this group is all about, clearly they want reparations, I wonder how the average American would view a group of heavily armed anti semetic racial supremacists approaching innocent bystanders and acting in such a manner.

They want the coverage, and to be seen so why not?

I find them every bit as objectionable as all the other nutters in your nation who walk around in armed mobs and claim to be all about 'freedom'. I am just amused by the difference in response to a peaceful armed group of black people out in the countryside and a violent armed group of white people smashing their way into a sitting legislature. One of those is clearly a greater immediate threat to the normal functioning of democratic institutions than the other, though you would never know it reading some of the posts on this thread.

That any of you think any of this this is OK speaks to a profound sickness that crosses political divides. Everyone is looking for excuses for 'their' side and no one seems concerned that armed mobs are being treated as normal by anyone. If you want to find the problem start with the mirror.

When I has a pony tail down to the middle of my back and a biker mustache and goatee, I was pulled over by the cops 16 times in 6 years I was taking care of my Dad. I let my hair grow so I could donate it to "wigs for kids" and save precious resources. After my Dad passed and went looking for a job, I donated the hair and shaved the goatee, I've only been pulled over once in the next 10 years.
