What that chart doesn't tell is that even though the mass shootings get the headlines, blacks and hispanics in America commit the vast majority of gun homicides and skew the rate for the US.
Its difficult to get at white non-hispanic statistics because whites are commonly combined with Hispanics. White's commit the majority of murders in the US and most of the violent crime. Blacks primarily attack blacks and whites attack whites. Which is another way of saying housing is segregated in the US since most murders are by acquaintances

Clearly there's something else going on. Countries like New Zealand and the Czech Republic with relatively permissive gun laws don't have anything near the problem with violence and mass shootings. Despite legal (albeit licensed) AR15s, New Zealand hasn't had a large mass shooting since 1990. The Czech Republic even has concealed carry with a permit.
What do we have that they don't? Large minority population? A culture that places blame for every slight on White males? Hmmmmm.
The obvious question of "so what?" must be asked with regard to the above? What ultimate, meaningful difference does such make?

Sixty times the UK gun homicide rate, but only 4.5 times their total homicide rate (down from ten times for most of the 20th century). It's no wonder that the UK government doesn't want their folks to have guns, or kitchen knives. They seem to be quite violent without guns.
