Thanks for your welcome! Swensson I´m working at a chair for macrosociology as a research fellow. The focused theme is the process of european integration. How do people have feelings like "Support" or "Attachment" for / to other EU-States and the EU are some questions which we follow. For more information, i can write a bit more about this - but maybe not in this thread Is there somewhere a thread for sociology or something like this?
Welcome to the Board... ... the only sociology thread we got is... ... Snake Oil Sociology... ... but hey, knock yerself out.
Oh oke, that´s nice to know! I´m a bit careful because my english is not the best and i don´t know if everybody can understand what i want to write But it´s nice to meet friendly people here and specifically people who want to talk about sociology - at least a few people by now! I think about the idea to open a new thread for sociology, but i need some ideas to open the discussion there. If u think my english is to bad or u find big mistakes - please tell it to me or write a private message. My Goal is, beside meet friendly people and participate in discussions, to bring my english to a better level. Thanks!
Reggae Bob: I don't think many people will criticize your grammar or language skills. If I see it on the forums I will post and remind people that you are learning the English language. You can go to your profile and put your country's flag up and that may buy you a little understanding. Your English is not bad at all and I have no trouble understanding what you post, but you haven't had to use complex sentence structures yet and that may be necessary when discussing complex ideas. I think when everyone realizes that you are a non-English speaker, they will be willing to allow you some forgiveness if you have a language problem.
Thanks Lee, that´s awfully nice! Also thanks for your help to individualize my profile. Yeah, that´s mit biggest problem: complex sentences. I have learned english at school for 7 years, but at the university english wasn´t an elementary component, so i forgot a lot. Now i need english more then ever for my work - and i think, to write a language is a good component to lean a language more comprehensive. If i don´t know some words, i take a dictionary and so i can write or read what i want. Thanks for your open arms and your friendly words! In a lot of german political forums the member are not so friendly and helpful!
It is in all of our best interests to have as many diverse viewpoints as we can possibly have on this site. It makes for better discussions and for a better chance for the truth to emerge. This is the vision of the site's founder and it is a mission that all the moderators firmly believe in.
Juhu, ein anderes Mitglied, das Deutsch spricht! Willkommen zum Forum! Was ist deine politische Ausrichtung? (Soweit ich das sagen kann, ist dein Englisch sehr gut)
Buenos días from Mexifornia (formerly California) Bob. I bet you Germans wished you would have paid more attention to what political correctness and diversity had done to the once great state that was known as California, you wouldn't have your fraulein's being groped and raped on your German streets today.
