Not keeping my head on the sand. My opinion is 2.2 is low but since you are apparently unaware of the source of the data it is all speculation. That said no there is not nearly enough data in the US thanks to our idiot President and the lack of testing.

It's pretty difficult to judge state of mind. Some 22-year-old woman who has been on Dr. Phil has issued a coronavirus challenge of licking toilet seats on airliners, but I have no idea why she made a video of her licking an aircraft toilet seat.

This lack of testing talk is getting ridiculous. If you got sick and had flu like symptoms everybody has know for a month that you should self quarantine. In the US you can't just stick things in peoples noses legally, that's called regulations and there are laws there for a reason. Those who got real sick went to the hospital for pneumonia most likely and would have been tested by now. Bottom line is this is a fast spreader with not a whole lot of bad symptoms unless you are already at risk, same with the flu. It is not a time for panic as has been stated for a month, it is very similar to the flu except we can't treat the symptoms if you have any. The only thing a damn test does is confirm you need to be what they have been telling you to do for 3 weeks now, stay away from people, don't go visit grandma, don't go to social events period. If you haven't been following these simple guidelines then you are part of the problem, not the solution. Human vaccine testing started today. If they find a vaccine you can bet it'll be fast-tracked.

 

He has done very little to slow the spread except tell lies. And he is not doing better than Europe. We are just at an earlier stage in the spread. Listen to the experts. Trump still thinks it is the flue and it will go away when the weather warms.

 

No the testing tell you if you have or do not have the Corona virus and for the elderly or compromised people that can be the difference between life and death.

And the vaccine is irrelevant to this outbreak. Estimates are at least a year. May work for the next episode but not this one. Don’t listen to Trump who knows noting and forgets even more. There are experts,listen to them.

 

We don't have enough kits relative to population. That's for starters. And no, the President isn't responsible for that but blaming him for everything under the sun seems to be the mode of the last 3 years. Let me ask you: How's that helped anyone?

 

This is bullshit. If we had wide spread testing you could get some people into quarantine who do not yet have symptoms.

So that's a failure in production. How are we blaming the President for this? It should be viewed similarly to the botch of the ACA website, remember that debacle?

Believe it or not, the President can't control everyone like a puppeteer and have them do things. He gives them orders(on what he thinks is best)(and we know about West Wing resistance via the Washington Post) and to the extent you don't have renegades, the others are trying their best.

 

How did it happen we are at an earlier stage in the spread? Perhaps it was Trump's travel ban for China that PC Europe didn't implement? Might that have slowed the spread? How about the travel ban for Europe?

And why has the pandemic not affected Africa and South America very much at all? Warmer weather, perhaps?

You look to govt to take care of you, protect you and tell you what to do. Like a child to their parent. I just don’t understand why you do that.
