My guess the family of the veteran profiled the hospital/health care facility and were not comfortable who were working at the facility.

In one of the videos I linked too the attorney representing the family said a hidden camera in a private hospital in the state of Georgia would be illegal and could not be used as evidence in any civil or criminal court. But the facility was the legal residence of the veteran and under Georgia law one can have hidden video security cameras in ones residence.

I'm seeing a racial element here considering what has been going on in America for the going on seven years.

But Obama is no loger POTIUS and Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch are no longer Attorney Generals. The Obama administration can no longer protect these nurses.

We American vets take care of our own.

    Nobody else will.

But I will say in less than a year President Trump has made huge improvement with in the VA. But their more that has to be done.

If he wasn't a blue tag DNR, there was a lot of crime committed here by quite a few nurses/supervisor.

Criminal negligence, Abuse of the elderly, Manslaughter, etc.

It has nothing to do with race - real aspirant nurses simply don't have the vocational urge to take it up, mainly because they have to carry the workload of lazy chav 'nurse's, so they are the ones we're left with, and they're only in it for the monthly pay cheque. And why do politicians turn a blind eye to it? Because they all have private health plans, that's why! Weird stuff going on these days.

She probably didn't get paid very much. They expect these nurses to take on all that responsibility but pay them scarcely more than minimum wage.

Exactly the same as so-called 'care homes' here. They're staffed by immigrants who are working for slave wages, but guess what . . . our liberals want even more immigrants to come here so that they too can be mercilessly exploited by having to work for slave wages! You couldn't make up the **** that's going on in this madhouse.

    This.
During deposition she said he was a full code... so, no DNR.

I just wasn't sure if medical professionals have a legal obligation to render aid. From what I've read here they seem to.

This is precisely because our country, culture, society, does not support or care for our elderly.

They are a burden to be shoved off onto a system that "should" care but doesn't. All so people can have a "normal life" sheltered away from people "care taking" their dying parents.

People need to take care of their own kin and kine and need to be incentivized to do so. This society is morally bankrupt.

Nurses in homes are paid pretty well. It's the CNAs that don't make much. But then again CNA is bare bones entry level ****. Though most of the "nurses" working in homes like this are actually CNAs

All medical professionals have a duty to render aid regardless of situation.

A patient in your care, you have a legal obligafion to render the best aid you can provide. The flip side of that leads to abuse of the courts in tort.

They are supervised by RNs and there is usually an attending. That supervisor would have been an RN. If there is a code, they page the supervisor/doc calling a code and begin working.

    Yes they do.

The only time they are not obligated to administer aid in this situation would be if the man was DNR. He was not. He was full code.

Is that only the case when they're at work?

Nothing much. She was suppose to turn in her Georgia nursing certificate but didn't do so until the video surfaced.

She probably applied for a free Obama phone and is now on welfare.

Why would a health facility employ nurses if they aren't required to render aid ?

The two nurses in the video did nothing, nothing at all except laugh.

Failing to render aid in any situation will result in revocation of your license, and open you to civil suit, but not technically illegal outside of your job.

This is a clear case of criminal negligence. I really hope that these RNs go jail and anyone else involved in this manter.

If you're on duty, then yes you have a legal duty to render aid up to you skill level. I am an EMT, If i'm on shift, and soemone calls 911 I can only render aid up to what my scope of practice allows. That means I can't give drugs, read an EKG, or anything like that. Someone said these were nursing staff, if that is the case, they had to do something if that was calling 91.

I wasn't asking if they were required to as part of their employment. I asked if they were required by law.

It's only an oath like when a cop takes an oath to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution which means enforcing federal laws like immigration laws.

Oaths seem to be politically incorrect today.

Any EMT's out there ? I know there are a few on the PF.

Did you take any kind of pledge or oath ?
