If a civilian came across this killer, the Democrat Party would make sure that they would have to reload after their 10 round magazine ran dry. That's reality. Not every bullet hits the target in the real world, and even when they do, they don't always stop a criminal right away. I carry a pistol with a high-capacity magazine because I can't carry Gov. Cuomo's armed State Trooper bodyguards on my back.
Wow... 17 hits with a .40 caliber. That guy must have looked like Swiss Cheese. Law abiding citizens should have access to at least what Civilian law enforcement has access to.
Exactly, because the same criminals target us. Good job by the police officer BTW. He took a killer off the streets forever.
If you can't defend yourself from a shooter with less than 10 bullets. . .you have no business even owning a gun!
Of course, this is a one in a bazillion scenario...but we should all plan for that. By the way, go ahead and quit saving 10%, quit contributing to the IRA or the 401K, in fact QUIT your (*)(*)(*)(*)ing job, because you should prepare for the absolute certainty that you will win the god (*)(*)(*)(*) powerball.
But Don, the only reason these shootings are so bad, is because of weapons that hold so many rounds. We just need to get rid of the guns that accept these magazines and the magazines themselves. I mean, come on! What do you think someone is going to do? Do you think someone would ACTUALLY carry several weapons or magazines instead of just one weapon and a 30rnd mag? PSH!
I know lots of people who have a nice 401k, contribute to an IRA and also yet plays the lottery every now and then. I think high capacity magazines are fine. Better to be prepared. After all, people have life insurance and flood insurance on the off chance something goes wrong, always be prepared.
I wounder how many more guns he can carry in his vest and on his belt. Limited magazine's only hurt the law abidding..
Especially with the SXTs, 165 gr. Law Enforcement rounds. Check out the penetration and insane EXPANSION of these beasts in ballistic gel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn-vMFaOAwE
Bad thing about expansion is that they are not as effective against body armor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Pittsburgh_police_shootings Just think what would have happened if this prep wore body armor...
i like my 9mm i shot a 40 glock with one hand to much kickback, i miss with it more often then hitting a tin can at 25 feet, i can place 9mm shots center mass or head shots more often, so i am sticking to a 9mm with hyroshocks
shoot him in the head i can, i am calm under fire i don't run around squad cars in retreat exposing my back under fire, i drop to one knee and place rounds.
Have you ever had to do a stress fire test? Putting rounds on a target isn’t easy when pumped up like. That is one of the reasons why police are taught to aim for center mass.
Because no criminal(s) will ever number more than one, or have more than ten rounds, right? What Leftninnies grasp about the realities of self defense and firearms, wouldn't fill a thimble.
most police officers don't hunt and loose that instinct of up close and personal, a face is to hard for most humans to shoot, because its just feels like your killing your self thats why they teach center mass they know most will hesitate to shoot in the head or face, they are pen pushers and live in the large citys for years and tend to stress out in a combat or chasing some one down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJpRSf4q-hI
if you are not in the right state of mind to handle a firearm then it does not matter how many rounds you have. You will fail. One bullet is all it takes to kill one man. Is having no confidence with a gun a good reason to buy an assault weapon? I hope not.
Still wouldn't be able to penetrate body armor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPKbOrxgx-w http://articles.latimes.com/2009/apr/05/nation/na-binghamton-shooting5
Police officers hit their target 34% of the time. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/08/nyregion/08nypd.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_...ng-sparks-questions-about-nypd-shot-accuracy/ One bullet MAY be all it takes, but more often than not that isn't the case...especially with a handgun. There are a multitude of factors, not the least of which is where the perpetrator is hit. Rep. Giffords was shot in the head with a 9mm and fortunately lived. In the Ronald Reagan assassination attempt Hinckley shot at the President 6 times with a .22 revolver in 1.7 seconds, missing him with all 6 shots. One of those hit James Brady in the head, and fortunately he didn't die. (The President was hit with a ricochet not a direct shot). Pope John Paul was hit 4 times with a 9mm by Mehmet Ali Aca, 2 in his gut and 2 in each arm. He survived the assassination attempt. What YOU think someone needs to protect themselves generally has nothing to do with reality.
