Facts prove you wrong. Who was it who shut down milos free speech? Leftists

Who is it who demands I acknowledge a man as a women, when he scientifically is not. Leftists.

    Your are objectively wrong.

" "I don't know how things were in your high school, but we all kept our underwear on." These were your words, right? So responding to them by saying that wasn't the way it was in another school is correct and in context since few of us shower in our underwear. But you know what, I apologize. I had no idea I was talking to someone else with your same name. Might want to alert the mods that someone is hijacking your account.

So the distinction between that and prejudice escapes you.

And would you want your daughter to be forced to change in the football locker room?

When the girls start sharing photos of the naked guy in their dressing room what will happen?

    Thats my take also.

One thing else though, lots of kids are uncomfortable getting undressed around anyone. Same sex or no. My daughter is getting a great musical education because of her modesty, kids in band don't have to take gym at her school.

I agree that some sort of special accommodation should be made for transgender students that doesn't include them undressing around other kids. Mostly because of the physical threat involved from possible conflicts, either from or to other students. Just being uncomfortable, when there is no physical threat to oneself, seems a little snowflakey. Or maybe just like an excuse for abusive behavior.

I'd agree though that the school should have tried to avoid this long before anyone complained. Somethings wrong there.

In the 80s, in public high school, there were no shower stalls, no private locker rooms. You showered and changed with everyone....of the the same sex. Somehow we didn't all kill ourselves from embarrassment. Are you a millennial and don't understand what feeling uncomfortable is? Some kids did. Others didn't give a crap. Now if given the choice, it would have been GREAT to have personal showers, but that wasn't the case or a choice and I don't think any parents needed to provide safe spaces for their kids=)

I think he was being good-natured-ly funny, but both yours and his points are relevant.
It can only be a matter of time before teenage boys realise that claiming to "identify as a girl" is a great wheeze to shower with the girls. There is no objective test for it, all you have to do is say that's what you are thinking. Easy.
And if the entire football team do it, who can stop them?
And don't think at least some of the teenage girls wouldn't want them to be in there with them. I know teenage girls.

and if there are private shower cubicles, even better

Money is all people understand today. I hope they win this suit. The only way to stop this kind of utter foolishness in it's tracks is to make it expensive at every turn.

This story seems like an aberration to me though. I don't think its common practice to throw transgenders into the shower with other students in most schools.

I think we're moving towards a more body modest society in general anyway.

I hope they win the suit as well, but I'm only going on the sketchy details I have to hand.

Its a test case, really, I suppose. If the suit is unsuccessful the next step for the progressives will be to roll out this arrangement as a social justice issue.
Personally, I see no problem in having singe sex locker rooms like they had in Starship Troopers. Boobs, ******* and wieners everywhere.

I guess people would like there to be a social norm when it comes to modesty.

My kids have both been very modest from a very young age. Almost since the time they could dress themselves. My mom on the other hand used to get regular spankings growing up because she didn't see the problem with skinny dipping at the local pond. Once puberty hit she saw the light, but my grandmother's sensibilities were tested regularly up till then.

So one one hand we have the progressives, who want the norm to be one way, and on the other we have the conservatives who want it theirs. But the reality is that modesty can't be nailed down into a socially normal or correct category.

I can see the only solution will be individual changing rooms. How Victorian.

Then clearly you believe insanity is a legitimate object of tolerance, so the obvious question is: are there any limits to that? How about the wearing of, say, a NAMBLA t-shirt? Or doing a striptease in homeroom?

Absolutely not, I was being sarcastic which is the point I was making. Back in my day telling a teenage boy he has to change in the girls locker room would be met with high fives and smiles from the boys and screaming uncomfortable girls meaning NOBODY with a logical brain would ever even consider forcing such a thing. Fast forward to 2017 and somehow this is seen as a "punishment". What the hell has happened to our society lol?

That's what I'm saying. This entire thing is so ridiculous nobody would think it made any sense at all when I was a boy. But now in 2017 there were literally grown adults in authoritative positions who sat down and discussed this nonsense and actually decided to go through with it.

    Times have changed....big time

I was being sarcastic....Of course this idea is ridiculous that was the point. I said I used to be a boy once and I would have had zero problem with being "forced" to change in the girls locker room growing up as punishment. And that is exactly why I SHOULDN'T be "forced" to do that. Punishment is supposed to NOT make you happy...

But then again this isn't the same world I grew up in...maybe that's not such a bad thing I guess...All I know is that I wish we had this type of punishment when I was a teenager. I would have harassed anybody who I even remotely thought was a transgender if I meant my punishment was getting exiled to the girls locker room after volleyball practice...Not because I personally have any issue with transgenders but because I was a normal teenage boy who would love to get exiled to the girls locker room....

Fair enough. Gotta know people some to catch their sarcasm, and I guess I don't know you well enough. ;-)
