US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg doubled-down on previous comments she made last year, telling a Women’s Conference over the weekend that she had “no doubt” that Trump’s sexist and “macho” attitude cost Clinton the 2016 presidential election.

Ginsburg was speaking at New York’s Columbia University on Sunday when she was asked to “clarify” remarks she made during the general election last fall, where she claimed misogyny was a “major factor” in Hillary Clinton’s stunning defeat to Donald Trump.

“I think it was difficult for Hillary Clinton to get by even the macho atmosphere prevailing during that campaign, and she was criticized in a way I think no man would have been criticized,” Ginsburg told the crowd.

“I think anyone who watched that campaign unfold would answer it the same way I did: Yes, sexism played a prominent part,” she added.

I guess when logic fails, play the gender card. I would rather one single woman who's a nationalist over one million far left progressive men.

Hillary was a crap candidate. Over 80% of the counties in this country voted for Trump. It's time this old bag stepped down so we can get a good person on the bench.

as per the US Constitution, all that matters is that Trump won 60% of the States via the Electoral College. A 60% victory should be enough for you guys.

Trump "won" because the popular vote of the majority of Americans who voted doesn't count.

Get the truth of it. It's so blatant. The DNC selected Hillary by trickery and manipulation and now a court has agreed with the DNC that they are under no obligation to abide by the vote tally in the primaries; the DNC is allowed to select whomever they would want as the candidate to run for office. Screw the vote.

Then the electoral college selects the president of their choosing without regard for the other candidate getting 3 million more votes. Screw the vote.

It's time for some genuine outrage.

Yeah, but it still sucks he lost in popular vote. I would have liked to see him get the clear majority so the left couldn't run with the "he didn't really win" mantra.

The most corrupt, insider POTUS candidate in U.S. history... with the charisma, message and delivery of a rusty gear... lost due to... machismo and misogyny.

Tell us another one you doddering old socialist disgrace to the Bench.

Then why did Ruth even bring it up? If we're supposed to just "get over the election" and not talk about it, why does Hillary and everyone else keep talking about the election?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg demonstrates once again how political ideology trumps all other considerations and apparently in Ruth's shriveled dysfunctional mind none of Hillary's tone deaf, unethical and illegal escapades seem to matter to the sour grapes left.

Her loss can be attributed to boys being mean to girls above all else. What a stunning unintended admission from a supposedly elite thinker
and once more the left demonstrates how they see the world through the eyes of an emotionally stunted sixth grader.

Hillary's toast, rightly so, one party down, one to go, but I guess some folks just can't let her go.

The DNC is out of touch and is bought out; the S.C. is out of touch and bought out; the RNC has been out of touch for a long time.

The people need to make themselves heard, "bigly".

She doesn't have to look far to find a man that was criticized more than Hillary. His name is Bill.

It's great when we have SCOTUS judges getting up there and showing everyone how impartial and unbiased they are.

Since when is this supposed to be an election by counties? Counties don't cast votes; people do. And it's the only shred of so-called "democracy" that we have.

If Hillary couldn't hold her own against a supposed "macho atmosphere prevailing during that campaign" then how on Earth was she supposed to hold her own when facing world leaders.

    @Kode

Robert Conquest stressed that Stalin's purges were not contrary to the principles of Leninism, but rather a natural consequence of the system established by Vladimir Lenin, who personally ordered the killing of local groups of class enemy hostages.[28]Alexander Yakovlev, architect of perestroika and glasnost and later head of the Presidential Commission for the Victims of Political Repression, elaborates on this point, stating that "The truth is that in punitive operations Stalin did not think up anything that was not there under Lenin: executions, hostage taking, concentration camps, and all the rest."[29] Historian Robert Gellately concurs, saying: "To put it another way, Stalin initiated very little that Lenin had not already introduced or previewed."[30] Said Lenin to his colleagues in the Bolshevik government: "If we are not ready to shoot a saboteur and White Guardist, what sort of revolution is that?"[31]

Why? It's the way it's always been done. You can't name a single Democrat president that wasn't elected by the Electoral college.

She couldn't like in Benghazi. When the hot line rang, she didn't pick up and let it go to voice mail which she then promptly erased..

This is a Republic and the states elect the president, except in the Democrat party where the DNC elects the president.
