While only 10% of the population in my state lives below the poverty line, nearly a quarter of the population of California does (and it is growing). California is the most progressive, most diverse state in the union. When it was less progressive and less diverse it led the nation in lowest poverty rate but now it leads the nation in highest poverty rate. If 25% poverty rate was not fun times 70 years ago in America, why is it fun times in California today?

Show me a comparison using equal metrics for poverty. Poverty in CA is 13.3% and rated 29th in the nation.

It's a comparison and California doesn't have any of the poorest counties in the US and never has, as far as I know. I've been checking them for years. It's ranked 29th with the largest population in the country.

First, "universal healthcare" and "medicare for all" are not the same thing you disingenuous goalpost gypsy. Second, I don't know how vast the majority is. The polls seem to range from low 50's all the way to 70% depending on how progressive the outlet is. What question are they answering? Because on at least some they are talking about it in the context of replacing Obamacare and we don't see what their options even were. Would you rather keep Obamacare or have universal healthcare isn't really a choice that tells you anything.
Third, learn what a bot is. It is not a cyborg or AI from a movie that can have a conversation with you. They have a few canned responses and are generally easy to spot. Fourth, No one has to call their insurance company "over and over to get pre covered", because that is not a thing. "Pre coverage" is just known as coverage, just pay your bill. What you are likely referring to is medical clearance, which you would need either way and you don't deal with that, your doctor most often does. And finally, you went to the doctor for a sprained ankle, so likely 3 x-rays AP, lateral, and mortise, with a consult and some ibuprofen 800 mg. Just pay the $150 cash for the visit you cheapskate.

There is an important distinction between health care and health insurance. They are not the same. Obamacare got a lot more people health insurance, but MOST people with insurance got less health care. Yes you can point to some outliers who got expensive surgeries that they otherwise would not have gotten. However, no one is pointing you to the many many families who got less health CARE rendered because their deductible went from $900 the year before to $6-8,000. I literally saw someone with a family plan with an $8000 deductible. Why even have insurance? So they can't wait until the end of the year and get all of those services they would have once the deductible is met. Instead they went without. Just getting to say you have insurance or coverage, doesn't guarantee you any level of care.

Medicare is terrible, yes I stand by that. There is a reason you have access to worse doctors as a medicare patient, because most competent doctors or people that have been out of med school for a while don't want to be paid less than half of what they are worth. It is basically a form of charity to accept medicare. There was a lawsuit in Michigan by medicaid patients because the states incentives for doctors were so low, that the people had no access to most kinds of specialists.
