The left often likes to claim that people who dont identify with the black victimhood mindset dont really count as black. They call black conservatives house negroes and Uncle Toms and all kinds of ugly things. But the saddest part about this isnt even the names that they call those that dare to stray from the group. The saddest part is that their definition of black is entirely tied up in being disempowered, hopeless, and angry. Their definition is negative. So Im taking blackness back. What gives these people a monopoly on blackness? Thats absurd. If they can make an arbitrary definition, then so can I. To me, black represents something respectable that I consider my equal. Not something I look down on or feel sorry for. Thus from now on, if youre not self-empowered, independent, and responsible enough to hold yourself to the same standards of behavior as everyone else, then YOU dont count as black. People like Herman Cain, Alfonzo Rachel, Mia Love, Stacey Dash, Allen West, and Kevin Jackson are black. They get to be black because they represent all of the positive traits that I associate with being black. Conversely, the whiny complainers, the welfare addicts, the thugs, the entitlement-mongers, and the race-baiters will henceforth only be called victicrats - a term coined by black conservative Larry Elder to describe people exactly like that. If youre not respectable, you dont get to be black. Black is only for people who already see themselves as equal.
Speaking of Stacey Dash, I remember the s**tstorm that happened when she came out in support of Romney. Many Obama supporters were saying that Romney was going to put blacks back on the plantations if he won, and were calling her a hypocrite for supporting him. Even if I was a hardcore Leftist, I'm not sure if I could achieve that level of victimhood.
As if I needed another reason to be attracted to that woman. I've had a thing for her ever since Clueless. When I heard about the Romney thing, I officially fell in love with her. That's my definition of a perfect 10. Beautiful, smart, and conservative. I wasn't surprised the liberals raked her over the coals. They had to. They're threatened by people like her. She stands to poke a hole in their narrative. And so she gets the same hostile treatment that Herman Cain, Clarence Thomas, and all the other black conservatives get. Liberals are ruthless toward black conservatives.
Its really sad how the democrat party had pushed african americans to be dependent on the government. No other group has ever voted in tandem like they did in 2008 and 2012. Falling educational rates Increasing single parent households Devastating unemployment Largest percent (by race) usage of social programs Largest percent (by race) committed of crime I guess this is what happens when you tell an entire group of people they cannot succeed on their own merit
Great post! This post here goes to show just how thoughtful and intelligent Conservatives are as we dissect each and every issue down to its base core. I couldn't help but think how disingenuous Obama and the entire NAACP and the Congressional Black Congress (all democrats) have been by pushing a far leftist agenda that excludes any and all black Conservatives. With our nation falling apart at the seams with this leftist agenda including obamascare, Obama plans on meeting either today or tomorrow with the NAACP to perhaps concentrate on some of our more serious problems like this perceived voter fraud or the abortion rights agenda or the Trevon Martin case.
Who coined the label 'black' for so-called black ppl? If it was so-called whites then fair enough, this thread has a remnant of credibility but as it stands, practically every topic in this sub forum is a complete waste of space as they are started by cowards. fact.
You obviously think so thats why you 'attempted' to explain this peculiarity yet came up short, in fact a long way short.
Your post doesn't really make any sense. I have no clue what you are trying to claim as some sort of upper hand in the discussion. Odd.
What difference does it make who coined it? There are plenty of people who are just as black who take offense to being excluded from being counted as "authentic" simply because they don't vote Democrat. It doesn't matter what the actual term is. The problem is the exclusion of happy and successful people within that race from being allowed to identify with the rest simply because they're not all angry, butt-hurt, and blaming whitey. And I say (*)(*)(*)(*) that. If we're going to arbitrarily kick people out of a race, then two can play at that game. I'm simply reversing the scenario and taking back the race as something positive. Something respectable. Something that only good people can be part of. Because I think it's racist to believe that black people are sissy little punks that can't take care of themselves. And that's basically how the other side defines being black. It's pathetic.
Because if you weren't the originator then you are in no position to question or second guess what it means to be "black". End of [another pointless] thread.
He is just projecting again, nothing new here. Always funny to see white men talking about how blacks or people of any other color think or should behave, all the while they are throwing in their own personal attacks, insults and generalizations and acting as if they have a clue what it like to be black. And of-course threads such as this also brings out the other resident racists here that simple have to add their 2 cents worth of hate.
