How do you feel about Israel?

But I have: that they attacked a US ship, tried to assassinate some one (iirc), the stern gang and that. It actually changed my view of Israel. it was not in vain.

The Liberty incident has far less to it than meets the eye, and the Stern gang was hardly representative of anything, so none of the crap posted by fever swamp hermits should change your views, especially when the sources are nutjobs and refugees from sites like VNN, or some conspiracy theorist with over 20,000 posts in a year, almost all ranting about how Jews in Tel Aviv are controlling the world through microchips in our underwear and the like, evil masterminds responsible for everything from irritable bowel syndrome to fake moon landings.

 

The Stern Gang and Irgun were, as you know, the intellectual forebears of the present nazi régime, Likud, occupying Palestine, and Jabotinsky their intellectual forebear was an admirer of Mussolini, as you know. These nazis followed Hitler in murdering British troops, as you know, because they were on the same side, as you know. AIPAC, as you know, has the American pols grovelling, and squealing love for your Fuhrer in high squeaky voices when the electric current is applied to where their testicles used to be. While 99% of the cr*p these Israel haters are spewing is pure BS, lies and distortions, Israel in its 65 years of existence on a war footing has indeed made a few mistakes, perhaps comitted a few misdeeds and have a few bad apples. Let's annihilate Israel for that because all other countries (and especially those surrounding Israel and vowing to wipe it off the map) are pure, innocent, honest, selfless, peace-loving and and all their citizens without expection are saints.

and on the other hand I kinda feel this too. I'd say that I lean much more towards your stance, but it was intressting to learn that Israel has indeed made some big mistakes and that some of their leaders had backgrounds in terror groups iirc. It's not great for credibility when one also says things like the jews run that and this. I can't really deny all of it though tbh, I just find it highly unlikely. and then, it's classed as conspiracy theories, and I'm rather biased against those unfortunately. a flaw really, since I'm after truth no matter what it is.

 

The thing is that I don't really see it as ethnic cleansing and land theft. And I was thinking more abour terrorism, hiding behind civilians while launching rockets, targeting civilians, and general low regard for human rights that's typical in the arab world.

 

Indeed, that's how i see it too. Sweden's been into eugenics, we were practically nazis in all but name during the 30-50's but that's no reason for wanting to destroy sweden. Likewise, the USA funded dictatorships around the world, notably pinochet. That's a stain that wond go away for a while either, but I still like the US. nobodys perfect.

First, are you referring to real nazism? If so, where's the idolisation and worship of violence? what's with the free media, religious freedom, and democracy? I guess I don't have to tell you that none of those are allowed under nazism. or do I?

And racism. Whilst there's undeniably individual jews that are racist, we can't discuss that and it's irrelevant. What's relevant though is wheter Israel has any official racist policies. I'd say that they don't. Because people of all religions and all races are allowed the same political, social and individual freedoms as the jews in Israel. There's non jews in the army and government. there's no apartheid.

 

From a more idealised view of Israel to a more realistic one I guess, thank you. It just didn't seem reasonable that Israel would attack the US, or that it's leaders would have dubious links, nor that they spy on their allies. Now that I know they did it changed my view of them.
