Why change anything when most of the world knows that essential Christian doctrine is about love, forgiveness, kindness, peace, patience, sacrifice?

    Don't fix what isn't broken.

No! Everytime they read over the part that says a felony, such as kill gays, or rape is ok, or non-believers deserve hell they are too intellectually and morally cowardly to change it! They've failed, it's time for modern Secular Humanism to give it a shot.

    Another manipulative push poll!
You fall deeper into depravity each time you post.
There is more than a or b. There is c and d and e and f.
    You are becoming a caricature.

Let's say I had in my hands a book that had all the bad parts of the Bible removed. Now, I'd give that to you and you'd demand that all the bad parts be PUT BACK IN!? Would you? See how that works?

    Win the debate.
Your doing a singularly horrible job of it.

I'm far far more moral than you are bruce, light years ahead (no offense), because I can advocate removing parts of a fairy tale that say to KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE. Some day you'll rise to the moral level of modern Secular Humanism, until realize you have a long way to go, morally.
    Sorry to rant so much.

bruce, I'll ask you the same question:
Let's say I had in my hands a book that had all the bad parts of the Bible removed. Now, I'd give that to you and you'd demand that all the bad parts be PUT BACK IN!? Would you? See how that works?

The goal is for the TRUTH to shine through.

You can answer as few questions as the fundies can.

There is no love in torture, and Jesus was so morally reprehensible that he approved of TORTURE.

I have to admit, I've done no research. I'll just ask the resident secular humanist for the answers.

My church has a food pantry for the hungry. Does the nearest secular humanist organization feed the hungry.

My church has bereavement support for people who've lost loved ones. Does the nearest secular humanist outfit do that?

My church brings medical supplies and clean water to people in the farthest reaches of the planet. Does the secular humanist have a world outreach like that?

My church spends a lot of money and time trying to prevent the loss of innocent lives from abortion. What do the secular humanists do to prevent this loss of innocent life?

My church provides counseling to married couples and to addicts. Does the secular humanist church around the corner help married couples or children who've experienced trauma?

Stop with this nonsense that you care more about people.

No, I think you're the only one who sees how this works. Perhaps you're not the best evangelical for your religion and you should post something from one of your idols' websites.

    Oh, the humanity! lol

Save me, Jesus, for not killing gays nor torturing slaves! Forgive me, for I have sinned!

You state your superiority, and then undermine it by asking push poll questions that don't address the real issues.
You are being dishonest and manipulative, and then asking everybody to join you!
Who would want to be like you represent yourself on here? What would be the attraction?
Don't say truth, because you have abandoned that. You are deceitful, you don't address questions that you can't handle.
Is this what MSH has to offer?
Surely there has to be more than this.
    And there is to MSH.
You are just a deplorable spokesperson for it.

That is so different from how I see things, there is nothing I am not willing to doubt.

Perhaps you should steer clear of this site.

I've sent 5000 dollars so far for relief in the Philippines. Match it or shut up about how wonderful you are.

And, try getting half a brain and try to understand that "secular humanist" is not a tax free organization.
Nor is being a UFO doubter.

Man, that's great! I haven't sent a dime there yet, to my shame. I couldn't match that unless I took out a loan. Thanks for the reminder.

I didn't say how wonderful I am. I listed the various services offered by my church, which receives my money and my time for its causes.

Your specious grab for the moral high ground is way easily taken as a claim of how wonderful you are.

    .

And really, as nobody knows how much others care about what, this is invidious at best, you know?

Have you checked to see if your church outfit spends more on its tax free rec center than on the destitute?

If not..and if it does..what then?

Any time. Send what you can. I will be sending more, but as of now, the W Union office has no cash to hand out. Thats how bad it is.
