How many White Supremacists do you know?

Are you sick of the race baiting bull crap from sick liberals who play the victim cards just for the purposes of generating fear for identity politics and voter suppression?

Are you sick of self righteous lefties demonizing all white people as privileged racists who owe the world an apology for their skin color?

Are you fed up with being called a racist, white nationalist, white supremacist, or being blamed for Democrat Party policies from the past simply because you are a Republican or someone who believes in conservative values or limited government?

The "white supremacy is on the rise" meme keeps being repeated in the past two years. Personally, I've been in this country for 50 years and have never once seen or met a white supremacist or a Nazi or a KKK person, ever. This is just a boogeyman by the left to scare blacks into voting Democrat. It's the politics of fear.

I'd like to know how many white supremacists you know (and what does that say about the company you keep?).

 

It was pretty much the norm when I was growing up in southeast Texas, including several in my own family. They didn't like the label, but they follow the ideology.

Some have worn hoods. I don't count off-color jokes. I do count outright white nationalists, whites who appose miscegenation, whites who believe there is some sort of genetic basis to white "cultural superiority," and whites who want to end non-white immigration.

How is "I've never met one" a topic? Again, I've never met a Jihadist or an Antifa member . . . and? Also, calling some thing nothing but a "boogeyman" kind of signifies that you don't think it actually exists . . . unless you are telling us that you and the OP actually believe in the boogeyman.

 

Interesting. I’ve never been exposed to that. Well, my grandma was not too happy when I brought a black girl home one year for Xmas, but that was like 30 years ago and that generation was definitely more racist, ignorantly so I believe.

I would not call her a white supremacist, but definitely an anti-miscegenationist. She did not want half black grandchildren.

 

Racists exist, of course. But I think this whole notion that white supremacists are on the rise (and moreso that anyone wearing a MAGA hat is one), is unfounded rhetoric designed to gin up support for the Democratic Party who claim ownership of every single minority in the country.

 

I wish it were limited to that generation. I've got to deal with people in my family my own generation or younger with the same sort of racist nonsense.

 

White nationalists and white nationalists attacks certainly seem to be on the rise. They are still a minority, though, just like Jihadis among American Muslims. We can argue against the nonsense that everyone with a MAGA hat is a white supremacist without dismissing the notion that white nationalists are on the rise. Trump is popular with white nationalists, but that doesn't mean that Trump supporters are white nationalists.

 

I grew up in Detroit. The neighborhoods were largely segregated, but there was a good deal of interaction between the cultures in my experience. IE, the black kids would chase me home from school and my mother would invite them in for lemonade and cookies and then they saw we weren’t devils and we became friends. Lifetime friends in a few cases.

 

I'm glad (for the education, not the chasing). I grew up in southeast Texas in a "sundown town" that didn't desegregate public housing until the 90s. I've been chased through the Walmart parking lot by KKK members . . . admittedly due to some trolling on my part. My wife and I still get ugly stares if we hold hands in the grocery store and we have to have "the talk" with some family members before we attend gatherings.

I have lost count the number of times on this board alone I’ve read “MAGA is the new swastika, the new flaming cross, etc.”

I can tell you what is on the rise... the number of people assaulted for wearing a MAGA hat.

 

Can I assume you are a mixed race couple? Don’t have to answer, just curious.

 

In both cases we'll be talking about anecdotes, so it is hard to examine scale. I don't know of anyone murdered for wearing a MAGA hat. There have been several murders committed by white nationalists, however.

 

Worse. A mixed race couple with one partner who is, herself, mixed race. Raceception!!!!
