It's a fact that sexual education increases safe sex practices and improves public health. I don't really care if you think kids should be left in the dark because you think sex is icky, because protecting the pubic is more important.

Not sure how public is protected by explicit homosexualization.

Oh my sweet explosive Christ, are you even reading my posts?

Sex ed reduces bad things, but it only gives those benefits to straight kids because the curriculum is heterocentrist. It's information is largely irrelevant to queer kids. Expand the curriculum to educate kids on being safe with same sex partners will reduce the rates of unsafe sex practices amongst queer kids.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Why does "wear a condom" or "abstain, since you're only in 4th grade anyway" only apply to hetero children ?!
Is it really beyond the grasp of homosexual common sense to apply the same information to themselves ?

    Either:
You really think the gay community is stupid.
    or...
Your need to always be the victim is blinding you from reality.

Is it really that bothersome that "penis/vagina" intercourse is discussed and not "penis/anus" ?!

ffs... if they're going to take that silly route, they should at least offer a "Gay Sex Ed" class for those who wish to take it.

The purpose of sex ed class is to discuss reproductive organs, STDs, etc. Many sex ed classes do talk about how people can get STDs which include through the anus. I don't think they really need to go into detail on homosexual acts since that isn't what the class is about anyway.

The curriculum has already been expanded to include the dangers of STDs and how someone might receive them which includes through the anus, so that pretty much covers homosexuals as well which you said.

Outside of that I think the person you quoted doesn't quite understand that the main purpose of sex-ed classes is to talk about the reproductive organs and not necessarily sex itself in detail (i.e. how to get an orgasm etc.) so there is no need to talk about homosexual acts in that venue.

That would be a good argument in support of marriage for any two American citizens who wish to be married and does nothing for the arguments for "gay marriage"

What we have read in quite a few cases is how sexual practice itself becomes the focus of these classes. And in, I think all cases, it had to to with homosexuals wanting to add to, or provide, the teaching. It has made the news a few times, and was in turn discussed here. But it should apply to anyone who wishes to come into what, a group of 4th graders?... and discuss/demonstrate sexual technique. Straight or gay.

Yes, the classes are supposed to be about reproduction... and as an important side note, prevention of STDs.

The idea that the guy I was responding to wants more detailed "gay" STD prevention to be covered is ridiculous.
It's "all" covered, as you said. There is something guys can wear to help keep them safe.... getting specific in where they stick it is irrelevant.

I see we actually agree on something.

Where I'm betting we don't.... is with my personal belief that the person I quoted is one of those that wants the homosexual existence purposely in the faces of everyone. Children included.

Because abstinence only sex ed is statistically proven to be less than worthless. It's counterproductive, it increases rates of unsafe sex.

The only logical solution is to discuss same sex activity in the same way that opposite activity is discussed in comprehensive sexual education. Children need to know common misconceptions, risky practices.

For example, lubricate before anal sex. Do you think teenagers will always know that? No, but if they don't anal fissures happen and disease spreads more easily. Do you think the average teenager knows to avoid the shady glory hole in the gas station bathroom? No, they're impulsive and reckless, warn them that shady things like that exist.

Eh, fisting is out there enough that it's hard to get into it without being well educated in the kinky.

Sex ed is no longer about preventing unwanted pregnancies and STDs and is now specifically to combat the influences of family and religion.

"Oral sex, masturbation and orgasms need to be taught in education. The only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity is comprehensive sex education. Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum and those opposed to homosexuality are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create" NEA spokeswoman Diane Schneider.

I guess thats why they felt the need to teach 14 yr olds proper fisting techniques

That is correct. Knuckle dragging backward idiots shouldn't have any influence over education lest they pass on their stupidity.

I think you are lying about this.

Not everyones family are Knuckle dragging backward idiots. And teaching the prevention of unwanted pregnancies and STDs isn't because of the influence of religion.

I wouldn't consider my belief that fisting doesnt need to be taught to 14 yr olds as puritanism or a negative influence.

    Please stop...ffs

Lol... your opinion of teens is that they are stupid enough to just stick their penis through a random hole in a wall....?
Obviously I grew up in a different era, and different group of friends than you did, but I would say even the dumbest kids I knew would know better than that.
But again... different circle of friends.

Sex Ed. is taught to 9 year olds.
At least understand what it is you're arguing in favor of.

I hardly think we need to teach 9 year old boys how to prepare their anus for receiving a penis.

    Major Steadman fallacy.

It's amazing how you can't make a single logically sound post in this discussion. Perhaps it's because you are wrong.

Right it's in spite of it. It's only ever religious wackos that oppose such education.

Religious influence had ebbed. Rightfully so. It seems to contain many of the backward people that would prefer stupidity over education. Just thought I'd explain since you missed the mark completely in the upper part of your post.

Not everyone shares your opinion that sex is dirty and wrong. Some of us actually put practical concern at the top of our priority list instead of gasping and fainting like corseted maidens in the Victorian era when sex is mentioned.

Seriously though, trust me. Teenagers are horny and reckless, they'll stick their penises through walls quite easily.

Because that's what I said, eh.

The cringing wasn't over sex... it was over your descriptions of your anal fissures or whatever the F else you were rambling on about.

Like I said... I didn't hang in your circle of friends, so I didn't watch that occur.

If you find anal fissures as horrifying as I do, why don't you support the education that will prevent many of them?
