They aren't. I have yet to hear of any LGBT who wants to outlaw heterosexual marriage.

Ok? My question still stands. Wanting equality is not bullying. It is against the law to discriminate against a customer for arbitrary reasons.

 

A formerly oppressed group once newly empowered often seeks to destroy its former oppressors instead of coexisting peacefully. It's an old pattern. The LGBT movement is on a search and destroy mission bullying the weak. It's what the Christians did to Pagans in the late Roman Empire. In the case of the US we have a tension between the first and fourteenth amendments to the US Constitution. The next thing for the LGBT movement will be to seek affirmative action.

 

I would agree, that yes an oppresed group does attack their oppressors. that is a sign that we as a society ought to not oppress people for personal feelings. I am not saying it is right, just that there is a reason that it is this way. I don't blame them for the search and destroy mentality. How many people were casualties? lessons need to be painful if they are to be remembered. There is no conflict between the first amendment and the fourteenth.

 

Somewhere along the line the wheels came off the bus for the lgbt movement. They became intolerant. By becoming intolerant they lost all moral authority.

The Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment can't be reconciled with the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

They aren't in conflict. Claiming you can't be in your business because you can't serve this person or that based on something, means you can still exercise your religion. Making special rules to accommodate a religion in a business, has nothing to do with free exercise.

Mormons don't operate liquor stores. And perhaps the religion of the gays are icky, ought not to be in the business of selling wedding services.

It's their religion, it's their problem. I love bacon, I'm not Muslim or Jewish. If your religion forbids you from doing a certain kind of business, it isn't the government's responsibility to change laws to protect your business.

 

So you feel that gay people proposed legislation that would limit the rights of others to marry?

You think that it was gay people who passed anti-discrimination laws in the 60's that prevents businesses from discriminating?

 

The sooner people stop worrying how other people live their lives, the better off we will be. Unfortunately, we have Facebook, which gives us no chance.
