    Is "capitalist" becoming a dirty word now? At work or at bar or pool hall or wherever, whenever I say Im a socialist people think it's cool but I get this sense that if I said I was a capitalist there would zero-negative reaction. A "capitalist" sounds like an investment banker, even though most of them dont really support free market capitalism, but rather state-capitalism. I dont know. I just felt like saying it here.

    my twenty year old friend said "we're a generation of socialists". also was ashamed to admit he was American while visiting europe.

    We have the wealthiest capitalists in the world and they are only getting wealthier, while the bottom 99% continue losing ground. If we are socialists than we are doing a very bad job at it. Our disparity of wealth rivals many 3rd world countries.

    Lol, so you are comparing our poor to other countries poor but not our rich to their rich. Right... class warfare at it's finest! And why do you think we have the wealthiest capitalists in the world? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that every can afford food, iphones, and malt liquor. Ever think about that?

    People in the US have no idea what real poverty is. So stop pissing about the wealth gap. I have no sympathy for anyone in America that is poor. None.

    Lol, those people you are referring to our America's middle class. We do have a lot of poor people that do not have any items you listed and are in need of food, healthcare, and shelter.

    But, it seems you are too extreme to care. I'm glad you support the 1% and their extreme abuse of our political and economic system. I hope you have strong knee pads!

    Look here horny, I would have guessed that you were talking to your teacher union socialist cohorts, but with further consideration of the fact that those people all have college degress--I would say you were probably talking to your dropout OWS socialist hooch mates outside in the park near Wall Street.

    I bet it's easy to tell people you're a socialist when neither you nor anybody around you knows what the (*)(*)(*)(*) it really means.

    Every time I hear some neocon scream "Socialist!" all I hear is "They took'er jobs!!!!!"

    Where the difference lies is water. People in the developing world (even in the cities and towns) can't just walk into a bathroom or park, turn on a tap and take a drink. In America one can.

    Far lefters have done the same thing to capitalism that the far right have done to socialism. They have brain washed stupid people into thinking that capitalism is the same as corporatism.
